… well done Jeremy Hunt to call for a greater reduction in the assembly and gathering of individuals and in my opinion sports gatherings should be closed altogether, no matter what size; in your minds eye imagine a group of blokes, theres always somebody coughing or as we see here in the north east … spitting! For the UK I’d say this is not a ‘once in a generation event’ as much bandied by the PM in his recent speeches but similar to a WW2 blitz eighty years ago or the Spanish Flu of a hundred.

I see this as a taster or try-out of the climate change disruption that will undoubtedly take hold in a few years. However it heartens me that much personal / recreational airflights can be eradicated and the economic model we have at present ie year on year annual growth and continuous market growth has limitations and should certainly be open to scrutiny. As I blogged previously I fear the virus will certainly demonstrate the unfairness and inefficiency of the American health system never mind the lying hapless nature of trump.
Concurrently there is also an official thread or counter to the Jeremy Hunt line in that meetings, groups etc should still be permitted, in an effort to help the populace develop immunity; but surely its not quite like that in that this is a virus, read and listen to how this spikey critter latches on to and enters host body cells. My own particular vigilance would be to avoid or minimise travel within the country, ie MPs sit in London and then spend the weekends at their constituency, the virus we could say is riding piggyback on the railway system!
Heres a good link to bbc r4 radio programme ‘Inside Science’ with Adam Rutherford, but unfortunately the bbc want us to jump thro hoops and ‘register’, wow this annoys. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000g3gf
I am so lucky, I’m so glad I do not live in a large town or city, that I have personal transport and can obtain my food shopping quite easily and quite close by (all fresh and home-prepared) and do not have to use public transport nor work within a group of other people nor visit anywhere with other people present, I’ve no long term health problems and am happy enough with my own company. I’m lucky indeed.
