Essential listening…

This is a good vid, straight into the nitty gritty … the stupidity of trump, the urgency of climate change, the arrogance and blind refusal of the GOP to accept climate change being real and the problem is here right now … notice Noam Chomsky tells us of the obscene roll-back of USA Emmisions Laws … they admit they don’t care and it ‘doesn’t matter’ ….. the bar is set so low now that people are limboing in the mud itself.

IPCC underestimations …. COP 24

Are massive and most likely catastrophically so. The battle is with nature and the natural world of feedback systems. All were in place, fully functioning and in equilibrium  well before we walked upright.

To paraphrase the twit in the White House …. “Who would have thought Climate Change could be so complicated” … Yes and so powerful and so all enveloping. Its ‘everything’ and its as if the roulette wheel decides our fate on one cruel spin.

Carbon capture must happen, yet so far its exploratory and small scale. And may I interject that for each oversize SUV or needless pick-up there will be a swathe of carbon capture apparatus to offset the crap!

The IPCC for instance does not even factor in loss of Arctic ice; its computer modelling is twenty years behind the times and not one recognised Ice Scientist was on the panel. Its as if we are suffering from collective stupidity, the Brits cannot handle the Brexit problem, the Americans are saddled with an idiot in the White House.

Heres some exclamation marks !!!!!! and a few more !!!!!

Below is a vid tieing in Prof Peter Wadhams (Arctic Expert) and a presentation in immediate response to IPCC outdatedness / time lag / ineptitude.

Salient points ….

  • IPCC much over complacent.
  • Controversial area of geo-engineering not explored.
  • IPCC contains / embraces discredited modelling ie ice won’t disappear till end of century.
  • IPCC ignores albedo effect ie reflectivity of the suns warming rays instead of worst case being absorbed (think Arctic methane) .
  • IPCC ignores increased melting of Greenland.
  • IPCC not factoring in loss of ice caps.
  • Govts can quote any target for the future, yet we all know theres always a shortfall that is excused away sometime hence…

To contradict the IPCC, reaforestation is in a practical world not feasible; timescale too! But it always makes nice tv to see junior school bods piddling about with seedlings… Germany for instance is stripping forests to get at open cast mining of lignite  … dirty dirty dirty.

Also the bitchiness, obfuscation and sheer downright twattery of Science reared its head when Dr Wadhams chapter on arctic methane was omitted from a written book / presentation for a Conference in China (without informing Prof Wadhams)  because we are told the Harvard Prof in charge did not believe Arctic methane was a possibility !!!  Remember that methane will arrive from three sources, geological, microbial and the release from thawing frozen hydrates; all from vast areas previously frozen we never visit nor can visualise in their seemingly endless expanse, ie East Siberian ice shelf which exists in huge swathes of shallow sea.

Interestingly Stuarts presentation included ‘Villian of the Day’ naming Theresa May in which she has sanctioned fracking and fossil fuel infrastructure; I don’t know details.

climate change links …

My hope is that anyone stumbling upon this blog of mine will realise its my intention readers click back to older posts to find an unfolding list of useful material and associated serious and valuable websites, I generally only post repeated sources such as news sites hoping otherwise ppl will realise to ‘drill down’ to get the good stuff.

So here I am contradicting myself and posting material that I cannot allow to drift away unread …

https://e360.yale.edu/features/escalator-to-extinction-can-mountain-species-adapt-to-climate-change

Heres an overview of their latest material … https://e360.yale.edu/digest

Thats lots to be reading and a little of something else just found re Arctic warming  …  https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/12481054/posts/2079388346     …. theres some good embeds from Prof Peter Wadhams, I have his book here ‘A Farewell to Ice’.

It is sad beyond words that most of us in the West are now able to lead a pleasant moderately civilised and comfortable life and to see it all taken away by Natures intolerance of human activity. Perhaps that displays how I regard my position in the social or class structure of this country, that I assume automatically that my forbears led lives of hard work, long hours and the niggling fear of what might be around the corner, what might happen next. But maybe I am running to false conclusions, perhaps they were able to gain some happiness or satisfaction contrary to their aching limbs, subservience to an employer and multiple deaths at every stage of life from childbirth onwards?  My arguament would be that it is only in the last few decades where emancipation, workers rights, better housing, personal mobility, education and better conditions at work and access to healthcare have appeared on the scene. Yes, it is only recently we are better off speaking as a working class person.

The bbc is wrong ….

… in the way it is reporting trump. Last night at 10pm on bbc r4  ‘The World Tonight’  radio programme we had a recycled many days old quote from djt that was read by ‘an actor’ … as if the Presidents vocal delivery is too whacky for legitimate discourse (which it is) regarding how he will not condemn Saudi Arabia for the Khashoggi murder and torture and probable dismemberment.  The complete three minute piece was deliberately, overtly biased toward putting trump in a good light. The use of the actors voice completely changed how we would have perceived the insanity from trump. The world cowers and sniggers yet the bbc in this previously respected radio programme is basically ‘so far up’ that all we can see are toenails. Crude imagery yes, but true. And an insult to all the listeners. A word I never use is ‘conspiracy’ but from what I heard last night the word fits.

Heres the poor man, RIP;  the world must never forget his sacrifice.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamal_Khashoggi

Strangely bbc radio struggles with pronouncing his surname and as for names in Mandarin they make up phonetics that do not exist … its easy, pop into any Cantonese take-away and get the correct sound.

Why is the bbc hanging on to this ridiculed and false viewpoint? Are newsroom people so inexperienced and useless? I would love someone to answer me this. Note I do not have tv, but do most mornings read online best quality US news reporting which I regard as valid material.

As Seth Meyers points out trump stumbles from one whacky misjudgement to another, spouting valueless junk as he mumbles along. ‘Get him outa here’ as usual with all trump put-downs being most appropriate to himself. trumps invalid criticism of Forestry Management in CA being stupid beyond belief sprinkled with the ‘raking the forests’ nonsense. That is obviously his grounds management from golf courses, which I’ve not heard anyone else make the connection.  A night in the forest would do him good, as with, like …. being outdoors and more than twenty paces from a golf buggy. Might make him realise his carefully tended coiffure has to go !

Witness also trumps recent junk regarding Admiral McRaven.

People just stand around at the Idiot in Chief talks crap; which is probably safer for everyone.

postscript 10 hrs later …. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/nov/21/turkey-attacks-trump-comic-stance-on-khashoggi-killing

Also todays nasty nasty helicopter whirring Ivanka and emails invective / denial from trump displays his nasty nasty combative mindset. And this is from the so-called President of the United States !! Indeed we are trawling the bottom layer of sludge to come up with this shit.

Scouting for climate info …

trump and his nastiness diverts us from pursuing a more usual constructive life and chemtrails I reckon are probably to be absent until spring and the warming of the sun, at least here in the UK. So now at backend 2018 we can look at climate change info ….

look at micro-granules of plastic and the blood/ brain barrier … https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/apr/24/record-levels-of-plastic-discovered-in-arctic-sea-ice

It would take a full page A4 of close-typed headings to even bring together the basics of enquiry / search terms for the layman.

mainstream denial of Pacific die-off … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDno5_ARLbY

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Watson

From experience I know that successive days or sessions on youtube yield better, more detailed or less populist material on any form of search, this was obvious about eight years ago one Christmas where I focused on Italian Neo-Realist cinema of the 1950’s. It took three evenings before I was offered the full-length ‘Umberto D’.

Heres some hints to look out for and many are covered/ linked here in previous posts …

  • bee and insect decline
  • arctic ice loss
  • antarctic melting from beneath
  • increasing sliding speed of glaciers
  • diatom and plankton loss and the importance of this
  • dead rivers
  • loss of caddis fly
  • fish stock decline (everywhere)
  • alzheimers in bees
  • west coast USA river entire ecosystem decline
  • Pacific seabird collapse (starvation) and its under-reporting
  • Fukushima
  • aluminium from chemtrails
  • California wildfires and chemtrail aluminium accumulation
  • autism increase (aluminium)
  • deforestation
  • needing to decrease beef consumption
  • population growth
  • too great a dependance on digital and the web and how we think
  • web manipulation, manipulating opinion
  • trumps madness and denial, the EPA tragedy
  • trumps lies and graduated decline into authoritarianism, American Fascism
  • the inadequecy of the IPCC reporting
  • methane in its three forms, frozen hydrate, microbial, geological (ice capped)
  • green plant transpiration reversal at increased CO2
  • the love affair with the SUV and carbon based personal transport
  • human arrogance and conceit
  • electric vehicles not being the answer they seem
  • chemtrail deployment, resultant ‘haze’ and impact on organic growers
  • Monsanto patents and aluminium resistance
  • jet stream alteration and split resulting in warm wet air over the Arctic
  • etc etc

trumpian distortions …

… trump is used to this, its his mindset; to invert, to upset and meanwhile offer a contrary dialogue.

Whilst he is busy scything down (oops bad analogy –  connected to the world of work) a Free Press and any critical appraisal of his nasty White Nationalist standpoint (ie a latterday Fascism) he can spoon out sufficient quotable niceties so that his ‘in his pocket’ mutually favoured news service have sufficient to paint a white-washed feelgood commentary whilst he can meanwhile destroy all that is good about America.

He embraces thugs and dictators whilst legitimate World Leaders are repulsed and other than Macron attempting to connect and turn his stupidity they have little to do with him.

trump is in a closed feedback loop (as he has been all his life) …  much like the many environmental and climate systems he is intent on ignoring, feasting on Fox that yet again reinforces ‘the donald’ viewpoint. Shame on Fox and suchlike. As mentioned before, quite what are the crazy conversations behind closed doors that we are not privy to?

Media can serve to eliminate developing a wider viewpoint, or to see the wider picture, of the wrecking ball of trump, both materially and psychologically, of social structure, bonds, communities. His actions are sick, his mentality is sick.  George Orwell was incredibly prescient.

trump didn’t like it being pointed out by CNN Jim Acosta that the caravan is in fact many hundreds of miles away and poses no real immediate threat. trump seems to have bypassed what an education should provide, ie realistic, thinking citizens that will not see their country trashed.

trump turns words upside down, they are bullets of falseness to injure, disrupt and con. Lets remember trump university !! A worst case narcissistic spoilt brat. He’s not drained the swamp, he’s drinking it.

Everything, every insult he hurls is most applicable to himself, fake, lies, the enemy of the people etc etc

trump and his multi-pronged attack on decency and truth …..

International ridicule …

Its okay to be piss-taken in ones own country or ones own bailiwick but to be shunned internationally is surely one gold-plated put down.

And of course   donald j trump  has achieved such a thing !!!

Mao, Hitler, Stalin all registered internationally and many experts were focused on each of them, but with    donald j trump   the whole world at an elementary level can see he is hopeless, useless, a hindrance, no good.

Its a good rule in life to never pretend one is cleverer than one actually is. Do not bluff, do not lie, do not con, realise others are far cleverer …. offer humility.
