Who are you on the web?

I know folk that elaborate and near fantasise whilst i have to stand there in all amicability listening to their preposterous stories, previous roles in employment, outlandish car insurance claims, bogus university courses and general misinformation.

So to what extent do these bright bunnies fantasise online? Who do they align themselves with? What is real if anything? And what image do they wish to project?

If all they indulge in is a form of role play on sites thankfully I’ll never click then so what, thank goodness I’m bright and quick enough not to get mired down in such nonsense, neither do I have such a great need to belong nor to appear anything other than what I actually am.

But there are ‘serious actors’ to use an irritating and trendy expression, we had the predictable story this morning on bbc radio 4 news of surprise surprise the Russians with thousands of bogus accounts have been planting masses of phoney material onto discussion pages of various websites, masquerading as concerned comment from US citizens but just wishing to skew what should be real opinion; I suppose Ivan wanting to demonstrate the degeneracy of the west and our values are failing. All comes back to the useful ‘nonsense vehicle’ trump and how Ivan hitched a free ride culminating in the dreadful scenes of Jan 6th. Another instance of the web gaining too great a hold over what we read, what hopefully we evaluate and spit out again.

Analysis of trump…

The term ‘analysis’ is most certainly pertinent to the circus family trump and its infamous now disgraced leader.

Embarrassment and incredulity runs high at observing how donald j trump clung to the obvious charade of it all being a fake election, so desperate at any cost to cling on to his re-election cash haul and the real knowledge that once out of office ‘his bacon is cooked’ so to speak. No human in history has lived the time it would take for the impending trump jailtime.

trump even ordered the deplorable spectacle of storming the Capitol as a last ditch thrash at self aggrandisement, outwardly and unusually silent other than cackling and whooping in private as the spectacle unfolded and doing what trump is good at …chaos.

Note how in the weeks following all the brag and bluster has evaporated to zilch, with ‘nothing to say’ which in essence is what trump was all along.

It beggars belief that a vacuous meaningless slogan and a red cap to match are sufficient to haul in so many needy and naive fools. Simplistic branding backed up with donald and ivankas talent for the ever present camera and very much stage managed rallies, note all in the backdrop are carefully selected; its all tv folks! All this adds up sufficient to hoodwink the gullible, those needy to belong to something with ‘an edge/ a take’ other than the routine, the legal or the honourable.

trump and Mao strangely have many similarities, ever thinking they know more than the experts, constantly ridding themselves of aides and colleagues, a penchant for ‘show’ meetings and discussions, projecting change but always for the worst; destruction, chaos, a total disregard of ordinary human life, economically totally inept. All the traits of Mao and trump.

The term ‘great’ as the lynchpin of trump sloganising really does not stand up to scrutiny, in one four year term trump has turned America into a crabbed stooping and hopeless old man, dirty, nothing to be proud of, shuffling toward old age.

Another trump key point is what I term his ‘janus finger pointing’ when all his wild accusations are in fact most applicable to himself, principally the term ‘fake’. This carried on to his protracted ‘stolen election’ rant, in fact most everything trump ever can utter is incorrect, a lie, the mouth of an uneducated ineducable sleaze merchant. He would have got nowhere in any professional career, unable to do the necessary reading or accumulation of knowledge, unable to listen, the attention span of a gnat and likewise zero intellectual curiosity. All of these deplorable traits are what we have observed time and time again. Schemes, many of which are coming back to haunt him seemingly an inherited trait from his father and grandfather, witness out west over a century ago, horsemeat, whores and gold.

The legacy of trump to my mind is how easily conned so many people were in joining his bandwagon, in swallowing the tv image.

There is nothing ‘great’ in turning back the needy and desperate from a country so big as the USA, I would like to think if I was in that position America would offer me a home, sanctuary. After all isn’t it the case most if not all such people will work hard and probably pay taxes, perhaps more taxes than those hell bent on massaging down every cent in their financial records a’la trump style.

The last four year of trump chaos and destruction beggar belief as if a badly written DC comic, witness the damage to the EPA, the damage to the environment, to the obfuscation and denial of climate change, the hurt and anxiety heaped upon the poor and needy. I think now its a ‘roll your sleeves up time’, to pursue and bring to justice the obviously guilty and move forward to brighter times.

Have you noticed in the four year term of office trump never once was capable of an adult informed conversation. He is incapable of such a thing, no reading, no knowledge, no experience … nothing! trump bar room innuendo and brag serves as his mature and (un) evolved conversation, ‘Mr Paper Thin’ himself. I know people hereabouts that as long as one takes an ‘anti-brown’ stance or anti-Moslem, one is regarded as ‘in the fold, one of us’. Wow this is low-brow junk, well suited to the four years of now ended trump exploitation.

I am wholly justified in this criticism because the position demands and requires a person of high calibre (they can read, think, assimilate) and so the world was dealt a paper thin tv adept, totally out of his depth. Tellingly the ONLY in depth conversation for trump in four years of fakery was two hours with Putin in Helsinki, something which is without doubt the willing and criminal act of treason.

Theres such a thing as ‘standards’ ie of capability and effort, something continually lacking in the sad mockingly inept so-called presidency of trump. We are left with a covid response in tatters, a diminished cowering Fauci (shame upon him and Birx) and a long list of wrecking ball dismantlings and willfull neglect. Scientists and experts were much threatened, the EPA was emasculated, a silly wall amounting to a brainless chant, climate change was denied for a full four years, all these things are an insult to the human project, our existence and our intelligence.

trump is a freeloader, he has ridden America for four years, surely anyone can see this?

Another creep is donald j trump, he too thinks that taxes are not for him, like an ill fitting suit best left in the store and rather not taken home. Well donald baby, what brought Al Capone to justice will likewise be served on donald j trump. As many commentators have stated, an orange jump suit will eventually be his permanent attire.

If a so-called (ex) President will not bend to the most basic and elementary accountability then when why for goodness sake was he ever allowed anywhere near the White House? Why is it he is still in the news cycle and still has hapless fools regarding him? trump is no politician, merely a stooge for Putin, a stooge for the crooked GOP and a stooge for his mountain of debt.

trumps cotton-stick wooden doll defence team were third grade buffoons, chancers at the Last Choice Saloon, screwing up at every turn but as with the cavalry the old diehard truth deniers Lynsey Graham et al all came to the rescue, stood by defending what is illegal and criminal and needs to be put right, justice must be seen to be done.

This now needs to be turned into criminal proceedings. trump has signalled criminals of all kinds need not fear justice or the judgement and norms of morality and ethics, the stage is set for Gotham disorder just as in the comic books. trump and his stooges still cling on to the vacuous pointless MAGA punchline, none of them or any of his supporters being able to expand quite what needs to be ‘again’ or what the ‘greatness’ is they are looking for. You mean I ask ‘strong arm illegality’ as per fascism?

trumps defenders citing his now absence from the White House as voiding any requirement for Impeachment is a stupid reasoning, is mincing words and truth denial, no matter how many days or months pass after the crime justice must be served. Just goes to show as per the old German Fascist observation from the 1930’s and Second War that make sure your lies are big ones.

trump has sown what in future years will be the further shrivelling of the United States in all respects, Putin has got what he wanted. Kids are useless hung up on phones and pointless media, minorities are fearful, the stinking rich ever more stinking. Four wasted years of Climate Denial, of denial of any truth or good sense.

Impeachment, criminality and treason.

When a so–called president of the United States spends two hours alone with Putin in Helsinki this should be sufficient reason to be removed from Office. There must be upwards of fifty counts or a hundred counts of total dereliction of duty that likewise we would think totally extinguish any hope of this man ever getting a single vote again in the democratic process but contrary to common sense and plain sight flagrance of Office trump still attracted millions of votes! My big beef is that nowhere from his comedy caravan of sycophants and brand promoters do we hear the term democratic process. This is shameful, of course scandalous and to my mind demonstrates bias on a monumental scale, the line of ‘win / lose’ constantly being promoted as in a one-dimensional world when in fact democratic process has been seen and democratic choice has been made.

There is no such thing as winner or loser in role of President, its merely a four year term of Office for being selected by a majority from the voting populus, they have chosen the person to go ahead and give four years of their best effort, this is not a coconut-shy or a lottery or a race track event; no-one has a god-given right to be there other than by a fair and democratic process.

When the course of a country is determined by one group endlessly to shout louder or hell bent on frightening the other group then we are looking at ignorance writ large ie fascism. If this were not enough the endless trump denigration and constant mockery of the Free Press and of any open opinion or established free thought indicates again another arm of encroaching fascism. The list is endless, a pantheon of strong arm ignorance, its all tv, its all made for show and to capture the lost and lonely ie of assumed matey-ness bolstered my dubious social media, an obsession with rallies, of rambling familiarity. It is sickening and degrading to see wilful persecution be it race, gender, colour or of the blindness to the environment, the erosion of goodwill of International Relations, to shrivel on the world stage, but this is quite comical because trump the man himself is in fact a coward, of no moral fibre or integrity, is blatantly ignorant of truth and the real world, the wider world. Yet this uneducated stance is deliberate so as to mobilise a certain strata of aggrieved populace, a cynical vote-catching and manipulation, something which trump revels in.

The immortal words “disinfectant, maybe we could inject disinfectant, I’ve heard its very good, we could use light, bright light maybe on the inside etc etc ” ….. will forever demonstrate the stupidity and chaos of trump and should never be forgotten.

Its as if the White House itself will need to be disinfected, to re-engage with the wider world, to join in and contribute, to possibly once again lead, all things that trump has no idea of.

Of course trump will say he wants to run again, after all … he wants to pocket the re-election fund.

To my mind the complete trump cavalcade these last four years was very careful devised, careful gradations of chaos and insanity to devolve good sense and decency into a mire of self aggrandisement and brand promotion for the Ruling Family known as trump. In other words as with all trump Janus pronouncements to in fact bring the swamp to Washington, trump accuses ‘fake’ when he is in fact the biggest fake of all. Front of camera skills, chirring helicopter engines and greed for power and mockery of the weak being sufficient to cling on to Office.

Its all ‘tv’ to the tv family groomed for this tv role, the cast of this grim tv cartoon including beautiful Ivanka, dimples Jared, broad shouldered hardly speaking Pence, emascualted Dr Fauci, silent Birx, big money Mnuchin and a whole crew of short duration walk-ons all subservient to donald and all quite baffling!

When science, truth, knowledge, free press, good reason, care and inclusivity are thrown to the wind trampled on (to trample is a fascist thing) then most certainly this is an unwanted fascism. Not once will you be able to get a trump supporter to put into words and deliver any meaningful dialogue as to why they promote and cling to the vacuous and moronic maga slogan. Set the ardent trump supporter to sit at a desk and write in their own hand what trump stands for, where he is going and what would be the outcome. This diabolical trump Administration has been like being in a fairground or theme park, trump thinking goes no deeper; trump is the barker with his pretend testosterone.

With the latest impeachment surely to goodness all can see a distinct two pronged attack from the mindless trump brand that enabled a criminal and diabolical storming of the Capitol, Don jr being particularly odious in this from youtube footage and djt a supposed fake President we are informed delighted at the mayhem; but most certainly there were other organisers and factions employed to excite and accelerate the hapless, coralled and manipulated as a behind the scenes frenzy to save the public witnessing the worse excesses of trumpism. It wasn’t just djt or the others on the podium that whipped up this stupidity. Ever signalling the clenched fist the fascist salute, approval from the top.

postscript … bbc r4 at 5pm with the dreadful Evan Davis this evening 9th Feb 2021 should be ashamed of himself, STILL PUSHING a likely good outcome for the golden turd; that there is mileage in the values of the Capitol insurrection ! … Wow I can sense bias, can no-one else? They were to tell us of the value of the mob, how a majority were business owners, were CEO’s (!) and white collar workers and all this would lead to ‘a movement’. Excuse me but WTF! I heard it with my own ears. But theres still a lot of good in America. My own view is that social media and the web is quite a dangerous breeding ground for nonsense, enabling skewed vision and shallow thought, unfortunates get together and bolster themselves, the web allowing them to fuel their sense of grievance, injustice and hurt. Its also my own view that education seems to have failed, America often has the reputation of being ‘hermetically sealed’ to the workings and cultures of the wider world.

I just never have been able to fathom why any decent person is so taken in by trump, who always was and has been proven repeatedly to be destructive and never in any way ever been fit for Office. The mantra ‘great again’ is mindless, quite moronic. Does none of the trump supporters ever consider the meaning of words, their depth, their implication and meaning, their historical or entymological precedent? It is trump himself and his unseen backers that are indeed ‘Deep State’ if any such thing exists, the Janus finger of trump accusatory zeal being in fact most pertinent to himself, ie a showman, conman, fake and merely a practiced tv shadow. Its incredible also but happens every few decades that people can be so taken in by slogans and repeated catchphrase jingoism, now there is a word that hasn’t be heard for a long time …. ‘jingoism’!

Theres is no depth to any of this catchphrase slogan rallying, nothing has substance, nothing holds an arguament or a discussion for more than a mere few seconds, as with the assailants of the Capitol, get each one on their own without their backup buddies and their ability to argue ‘their case’ will soon falter, will evaporate; all that remains is a need to belong to something, to find kindred souls, to air grievance and mutually sympathise and to engender in actual reality a quite slender sense of purpose. Witness that once the assailants had gained entry all they did was aimlessly wander around, their purpose now spent, their actions their arguament and objective were all now quite empty. In their defence I wonder to what extent they were manipulated, manipulated longterm by trumps shallow catchphrase slogan presentation style and probably manipulated more recently by hired hands to whip up stupidity.

Pence now needs to ‘get real’ and is realising there has to be a life after trump; the four years as White House Eunuch forever an indelible stain. Four wasted destructive years of environmental sabotage and unparalleled ignorance of the climate problem, of being a lackey to big business; Mnuchin another Eunuch standing on guard to see puppet donald pushed the right agenda.

So sad to see ‘rent a mob’ last night on tv, mostly without any covid procedure ie masks, but also I wonder as with all things trump as to what was less obvious, to what extent was the rabble roused by unseen forces, planted inciters, paid stooges to whip up excitement and insurrection. Many of the rabble looked quite happy, smiling as they entered the building, maybe that was the uppers, I don’t know, but once inside its obvious they were clueless as to the next step. The rabble itself displayed a collective mental age of nine year olds and really do need something other than this time wasting stupidity to fill their waking hours. Sad.

A line needs to be drawn, Comey recently attempted to calm the situation that trump will not be pursued, not charged, but after last nights insanity the heavy hand of justice and common sense needs to fall heavy and hard on the circus known as trump. To signal that America has better things to do than imbibe the trump stupidity. Immediate impeachment / 25 would define a return to sanity, to draw a correct and proper line in moving forward. It would also signal to the world that America is done with trump, a sad cascade of not speaking truth to power and that same power intentionally and wilfully choosing to ignore reality ie the facts; fresh air can now enter the room. Vested interest needs to be resigned to the back of peoples minds, with no doubt whatsoever signalled to the greedy cats at the top.

Year ’21 is going to be a bad year for anything trump, for his cohorts, enablers, backers and totally unqualified high profile sons and daughter Ivanka looking increasingly silly and malicious, a pointless hanger-on family of near zero intellect other than alley cat survival, , whoops listen carefully … was that another word from don jr? …. the embodiment of a ‘useless article’? No, he knows fine well his time has passed. We need to use some brains in future.

But of course trump cannot turn up for the Inaugoration, bone spurs are hellish, so problematic, so prone to turn up just when it is inconvenient.

Fiddling whilst Rome burns …

Would Nero himself have shook his head at the donald trump callous and scheming unjust rule or perhaps given him the thumbs up applauding “Thats my boy” at trumps catastrophic deafness to the problems that rest at his feet. This is indeed a chapter of misrule, a chapter soon best forgotten, a sordid hidden agenda pandering to Corporations and the over-wealthy, inciting the bad element of society as an instrument of this misrule and steam rollering over any good regard to environment, the less well off and the real and impending climate catastrophe. So much deafness. I’ve also thought all along Dr Fauchi left a lot to be desired, too low key an approach; a quiet geniality unsuited to standing up to the crooked regime, Fauchi being so reticent, barely audible to the point of being compliant with trumps misrule. What a disaster, Birx too from what I can see.

It baffles me why so many people still voted for trump as of a few weeks ago, I can only assume there is a lack of education and a lack of reality which allows them be hoodwinked, to be drawn in by simplistic slogans and a feeling of ‘hurt’. trump couldn’t care less about anyone or anything as long as it favours trump, upholds his tv strongman image, a hollow construct of near zero education, experience or ability to hold Office, a tv cardboard man.

Quite cunningly trump has fooled (and harnessed) a lot of marginalised disaffected folk that somehow need to feel they have an alternative take on facts that can explain their hurt. Of the more energetic of them think of Maos Red Guards.

trump is indeed evil, my four years of preaching that his chaos is intentional and actually is the definition of evil unfortunately has been borne out as correct.

trump has blood on his hands, now he’s up there with all the nasty crackpots of history; trump needs to be tried at The Hague for his constant disregard and dismissal of covid 19 and climate change.

The trump similarity to Mao is quite uncanny, both always surrounded by ‘yes-men’, both adamantly refusing to listen to experts, both Mao and trump always totally impractical, both offering total disregard to the plight of others. Both Mao and trump ensuring a revolving door of new faces soon after to be discarded. As with gangsters Mao and trump are callous to the point of cruelty, totally blind to law and justice and decency, only allowing those to remain that are able to spout their own version of an alternative reality, the bigger the liar the more respect you’ll get from donald. Kayleigh is indeed a swamp animal. Pence the appointed White House Eunuch remains silent and bafflingly trump somehow associates with excellence, as ‘managing the covid disaster’! Oh yes I know, it was another lying pointless empty gesture for tv … thats my boy!

I was pushed to press finger to key from hearing a report on bbc r4 news a few minutes ago from the States of nurses pleading, crying, at the end of their tether at the lack of leadership and total mismanagement by the trump Administration (I deny trump upper case). This week we heard from the now hardly ever seen indolent dictator (another Mao similarity) how well Vice Pres Pence had handled the issue! Small change space-boy Pence should have at least had the presence of mind to shout out “Sir I’ve done nothing!” This is utter B/S certainly to divert, intentionally misleading and to hoodwink the gullible; yet another trump style vacuous soundbite to keep him on the news cycle, to feed his beloved tv presence. America really does have a problem in the shape of trump and his unelected, unqualified kids, they need to be packing their bags, filling their cardboard boxes; a nepotic crew totally unsuited to the priveliges and positions they have been given, yet adept at working an audience and handling a microphone, Ivanka certainly but with Jared one can’t help but feel he’s just bitten into a lemon.

When I see the leader of a nation I want to see skills, knowledge, experience, insight and leadership, not some jumped up tv pretender cum gangster, blood on his hands.

postscript, two days later the Mao analogy gains further similarity, it suddenly struck me, when one considers that trump uses his young white hoodlums as Mao used his ‘Red Guards’ ie unpoliced beyond the law terrorists backed by the man at the top. Quite a sad, lamentable tie-in between Mao and trump I think.

What is ‘greatness’ ….

It so bugs me near half of America voted for trump, something I would have thought never possible, considering trump blindness to the struggle of ordinary people, to catastrophic climate change, to the need for intelligent and considerate International Relations, to the humane handling of the needy and homeless, the list is endless. Imagine, trump the Great Helmsman steering us through the turbulent rapids of life as what was the leader of the Free World !

With trump the analogy with The Great Helmsman himself Mao is quite uncanny, both utterly self obsessed, both utterly impractical and remote from real life. Living in an unhinged fantasy, all brand all ‘image’.

Theres nothing I’m saying here I haven’t said before, the absurd roller coaster of endless hirings and firings, the total lack of listening and learning from experts, all these were also the flaws of Mao. Once he is extracted from the White House it would be good and proper for him to be tried at The Hague for crimes against humanity, perfectly in order as the two parallel counts of climate change denial and covid 19 are denial and mismanagement on a catastrophic scale, a wilful absurd mindset from a two-bit fool propelled into public notice by excess wealth, a crummy reality tv show (looking back so VERY STAGED and PHONEY) .. and a perfect actor as a useful mouthpiece for his Masters. I also think we can draw another parallel with Mao, Russia was quite happy to see China make an utter fool of itself with the useless cruel years of The Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution and another analogy likewise with the use of slogans.

So why is near half of America still seemingly clinging to the idea of trump and his carousel of installed yes-men and family members? The nightly lies?

It baffles, bewilders and saddens me to see grown people cling to a slogan, as if make America great (again) can stand any scrutiny … as if what period you would wish to go back to other than the present … the 1930’s ?? It also baffles me trump on the face of it gives China such a hard time, yet ‘Business America’ has ridden on a wave of low cost imported goods from China that have created incredulous profit margins and incredible $$££ profit.

That word ‘great’ grates upon me … a great idea? a great time? a great performer? … the poet Ezra Pound said “Great is a Victorian word but I wouldn’t want to be without it”. Yes, what indeed does it actually mean?
