Too much has been taken up with the cloying sadness and ineptitude of trump ie I mean the circus that masquerades as an administration.
Its a Sunday evening here, lets refresh ourselves.
Kenneth Williams was a rare individual, a shy perhaps exquisite human being that blossomed best when left alone. Parkinson later on paired him with guests that destroyed his presence; but here we are in better times … I never realised Maggie Smith was so deliciously attractive …. maybe its cos now I’m now forty years older.
Postscript : I feel very inclined to end my trump posts, its all plain and clear for all to see how things will proceed, I’ve a great thirst to focus on more worthwhile topics than an overblown pantomime dame who most certainly will be leaving the White House under a very dark cloud.
So they’ve caught the bomber thank goodness. Yet still the inflammatory inciteful words and swagger of donald j trump knows no bounds, even playing with reporters that he might even raise it a notch. This is the measure of trump, the arrogance and insanity. The worse it gets the better he feels. Its an automatic turnover or flip on every conceivable thing that comes along. Remorse, realisation, reflection are alien to him. For instance possessing a notion to denuclearise NK yet ramp up Americas weapons to the insanity of the Cold War again !
He uses his words strangely, apparently delighting in all the turmoil and anxiety he is creating as if a most obnoxious teenager. He is feeding on it.
It certainly fits that he likes watching vids of sharks; they circle and flex, swagger and kill, no thinking, no remorse, nothing.
His relationship toward and need for his trashy rallies is shameful, horrifying.
This has all the moves of Fascism.
Here I quote the article above ….
“I heard he was a person that preferred me over others,” he said of Sayoc. “There’s no blame, there’s no anything.”
What !! ?? How immoral can any so-called ‘leader’ become? trump is indeed dangerous, the sooner this winds up the better. Utterly blind to know what is right or wrong.
I quote … The media have “a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endlessly hostility and constant negative and often times false attacks and stories,” he said at a campaign rally in Wisconsin. “No one should carelessly compare political opponents to historical villains, which is done often, all the time, got to stop, we should not mob people in public spaces or destroy public property. … We must accept the verdicts of elections and remember America’s greatest achievements have always been those achievements we embark on together. End of quote.
Lies are trumps coinage and he thinks he can buy anything with them.
In actual reality (taking Fox out of the equation) the media, the Free Press have extended great patience to trump, he blatantly (again I use that word) swaggers contrary to all decency, truth and justice. He cares nothing for these things. Look who got elected! Witness the deceit and lies from Sarah Huckabee, the refusal to acknowledge any form of open questioning or honest analysis of this horrible situation. Outright Fascism and with hindsight promoted from an early stage of trumps tenure. Huckabee up at that podium will be an enduring image of this nasty regime.
As usual with trump the insults he hurls at others are actually most applicable to himself … lock her (himself) up, fake, false, crooked, the swamp etc. trump doesn’t care what he says as long as he can spout a ten second sound-bite and whip up the trouble-hungry and peeved faction he depends on as a voter base, he is riding them. What it is to live at an ordinary ‘regular’ level, to get along with ones neighbours and community and society, to develop and contribute, to serve, all are sorely absent from the trump mindset and the nasty society he would wish to encourage.
I fear how this will progress unchecked, this week we hear trump wants to end nuclear treaties, cosy with Putin in the White House, feels no horror at a crazy letter bomber, targets refugees, cuts Central American aid, trashes the Free Press, basks in his stage managed rallies.
I’ll use the same pic as used previously, it fits ….
Political cartoonists of centuries past would see the trump distasteful shenanigans as continuous bucketloads of manure ripe for growing yet more and more commentary. Reality being more absurd than anything they could invent.
James Gillray, William Hogarth, Thomas Rowlandson, George Cruikshank a role call of critical thinking, we can learn !
Apparently of CNN trump would like to portray as his arch-enemy and has spouted lots of hot air to the effect, lots of bile to whip up his rallies, but in reality as usual it is a most patient and carefully handled report. CNN cannot get any fairer than this. Notice how trump rides on the economic improvements from the Obama years. And of course loses no time in constantly telling everyone the mere presence of himself is a magic elixir to Economic Performance, when in fact as has been anecdotally proven he is clueless ie his off the cuff idea of printing more money to make a country richer! A clown, an inept among grown men, a conman, a very good snake-oil salesman, a showman. I also add pantomime dame, the ruthlessness of a shark and fascist dictator as per my previous notes here. All are valid, all are demonstrably true.
Take away the good economic figures which quite by luck were set in motion from the Obama years and all you have is destruction and retrograde activity, turning the clock back.
To use the venacular “It will come back to bite him on the arse” once trade tariffs, super-rich tax handbacks, no action on climate change and the numbers and lack of Policy with time reveal themselves. Nero fiddling hadn’t a patch on this !!
What a fine man Juan Romero actually is, he provided comfort when all around would have been instant craziness. The article informs us that at the time young Romero was an immigrant from Mexico. Human compassion knows no bounds of borders or filthy walls. No matter where in the world all people are decent. This man is my hero !
Please read the link, Juan has something to teach us all.
Its impossible not to cry, something that reaches us directly from all those decades ago. Thank goodness we have a free press, that these things are not buried under callous disregard that masquerades as a so-called ‘administration’.
