Global warming.

This is indeed something the IPCC (ie a worldwide ‘formal’ association and so-called working group of bods pertinent to governments, policy, forecasting and climate change) which in reality lags way behind in vision and of forecasting the dreaded consequences of global warming.

So many crashes and disasters seem so under-reported and under-recognised, for instance to name just a few topics …. the Arctic, jet stream, diatoms, algae, plankton, marine food chain, loss of seabirds, loss of salmon, loss of bees, flying insects, decreasing soil health and microbial activity, methane, importance of ocean algae for DMS and oceanic weather systems, even the decline of the beloved wasp!

In my own garden and at a nature reserve I have visited near daily for decades I’m sure theres less bees and flying insects, hoverflies, Vanessids etc. At the rear of this house two out of three birdboxes have been taken over by bees these last couple of years, my ‘unusual’ garden providing lots of flowering plants and shrubs for them, all intentional. Say March to July I’m actually not in the further reaches of my back garden as I want nesting birds and fledglings to feel undisturbed, apart of course from the dreaded hawk that even last night whizzed past my head and I think had caused problems for the blackbirds, a single adult blackbird clucking the alarm call for more than twenty minutes, I’m guessing as much distress as warning to others. I even a few years ago witnessed a queen fly her flightless workers into the birdbox one by one, carried ‘piggy-back’ from the shrubbery and vegetation at the far edge of the lawn, a sight I’ll never forget. She must have brought them in by stages, grouped for the final hurdle into the birdbox. So that is no problem, I’ll stick another couple of birdboxes up soon, made by me of thicker heavier section wood than anything one can usually buy.

The IPCC seems slow and stagnant on everything. From my viewpoint as merely an interested layman I don’t think there is anything that the IPCC is not woefully slow or blind to at present nor cognisant of the fast happening realtime changes, Governmental deficiencies and their consequences. For instance its near impossible to find mention online of the diatom/ bryozoan symbiosis that constitutes a living coral reef, all we ever hear is ‘coral whitening’ but no practical explanations for the ‘mechanics’ for this to occur, why the bryozoans have perished. To my mind the great IPCC sticking point and the professionals that comprise its panels and working groups is the spectre of potentially losing ‘funding’ for speaking out or being avoided and shut out by colleagues. From what I’ve read the IPCC also seems unable to realise the importance of the interconnectedness of feedback loops, Sam Carana mentions this regularly. An example, increased CO2 triggers plants to reduce conversion of CO2 to O …. and their pollen becomes less nuitritional / of value to bees and insects and I think I’m right in saying there is a decrease in nuitritional of green plant food material to humans and animals as a food source. Happy days!

At least some of our best brains do their best to get ahead on the subject …. Arctic News: Heatwaves and the danger of the Arctic Ocean heating up (arctic-news.blogspot.com)

This is from the above link, if this doesn’t grab attention and motivate then nothing will.

Heres a vid below I’m adding a day later, my heart goes out to all the people and animals and whatever that are stuck with these horribly high temperatures. With the attendant drought we wonder if west coast living might become a thing of the past. We can assume as summer rolls on wildfire will set new records, setting more ash and soot onto the surface of arctic ice and melting it even quicker, the big time bomb (of many) in my mind will be when we lose most of the ice as presently visible by satellite, ice extent is still quite considerable but it is thickness that is rapidly decreasing, ie multi-year ice is fast diminishing.

These temperatures are actually beyond what humans can survive, the phenomena ‘wet bulb temperature’ I first read on Sam Caranas arctic-news.blogspot.com an invaluable information source and my ‘go to’ for anything climate change. My evening window …

… is open!

But no moths in two hours whatsoever have entered into my kitchen and this is from a large garden full of established shrubs and including beyond countless various nooks and crannies.

There is something wrong, that is for sure.

But a google search reveals next to nothing of up to the minute (or year) moth decline here in the UK.

Luckily my garden displays maturity, complex planting ie a great jumble of many different things and many many niche environments, all mostly never disturbed by any human ie me.

As per usual after the summer solstice the nights seem to be cutting in quickly. This is not something I revel in, luckily a couple of nights ago I treat myself to a car ride up to where for near twenty years we fed horses and me n whatever pet dog went round on our circular walk of an hour. The place is loaded with memories, I fully realise the value of this ‘extra-curricular activity’ and am moving toward when time permitting to ‘get out more’ to stay in touch with this focus of location from years gone past.

The June shutdown of birdsong seemed early this year, I generally name it as the ‘June 13th shutdown’, but this year things seem a bit off course, earlier. A pigeons nest I suspect rock pigeon, was found destroyed and eggs scattered in my garden this morning. I wonder at the new tenants in the let property next door, very cat orientated but also I suspect against garden birds and their song. Why do I think this …. leylandii next door felled to zilch, I suspect her complaints, a dark woman I suspect wanting her own way, I doubt she’ll have much to do with me. Also obviously ‘very set in their ways’, as if at thirty five going on seventy.

Good news is that both birdboxes on rear of house host bee colonies. My garden provides lots of flowering plants, but I look further afield at neighbouring gardens and its a pathetic spectacle, I look around and all is barren, ignorant nothingness and I reckon the birds, insects and small animals likewise think the same. I think its fair to say they vote with their feet so to speak and most winged things flock to my place.

A valuable link …

… re climate change, arctic ice loss and ice thinning.

Arctic sea ice’s dramatic transformation revealed through 42 years of satellite data – ABC News

You have to realise thinning can occur from underside as well as from the top. The former I’m guessing will be the downfall of the Antarctic ice shelves as they are levered away from the parent body, its a different set-up down south so to speak.

The action is in the Arctic as we read in the above, the highest and lowest extremes in Siberia at one same location has now set new records and sat imagery shows the depletion and the near non-existance of multi-year ice. You can add my tears to the ever increasing sea level.

Arctic News (arctic-news.blogspot.com) is also a valuable read. Locations such as the shallow Laptev Sea are forever burnt into my mind. I’ve a £1k wager with friend Gary who is a little sceptical of the severity of my forecast that if we have not reached 3deg C or above by end of 2026 then I will hand him £1k cash, no quibble. I don’t want it to be so but we must all realise the severity of what is happening with multiple feedback loops, all self and mutually reinforcing to greater and higher levels, its a lethal chemistry set we should never have set in motion, as if all the ingredients are present and its one big joke to see how we exploit, extract and set in motion the inevitable. If only we could have lived as in a Biblical simplicity.

There are so many factors and components and values feeding into the active equation that is planetary science, remember our space on this spinning ball of eight inches diameter scales at one thousandth of an inch ie 0.001in equivilant to a cigarette paper licked and placed on a childs eight inch toy ball.

There is nothing we do re carbon emission that will take any effect inside of a decade, the latest scares and truths in fact are many, loss of the aerosol masking effect, arctic methane, loss of high altitude cloud cover, and my own pet hobby horse of (near never reported) of the loss of the oceanic plankton particularly diatoms, quite ironic as it is ancient diatoms that form the basis for 70% of the worlds oil and gas supplies.

Arch clown, otherwise now realised to be a ‘stand-up president’ as in comedian namely trump should be tried at The Hague for his four year climate denial, this is a crime against humanity, four valuable years lost.

What would help is a universal one child policy, a move from the American burger culture, to live close to work and abandon your car in whatever form it takes petrol or electric, none of them are particularly green. Everything starts and rests with the individual, I deliberately have hand washed my laundry for the last couple of years, its no problem to me as luckily I have a clean job, here in north east England works fine, a quick wring and the washing line does the rest, none of the endless tumbling and spinning of the electrical machine.

climate change misinformation, time drag ….

This morning at 0900 bbc r4 with Andrew Marr was a profoundly mixed experience, lots of hubris and earnest ‘educated’ pontification, well meaning tones but fell down badly, completely missing the point in many ways. Interesting say re Durer, his life and time, his nature observations and artwork, all basic stuff many I hope would know already, but where it fell flat and this is where it looks like Andrew Marr knows little and hasn’t done much reading if any on this is when we stepped into climate change topics; remember, the remit of bbc radio is to inform and educate.

The two big clangers from just tuning in to the latter portion of the programme were a few minutes on coral reef decline that utterly utterly avoided mentioning the algal/ bryozoan symbiosis that is 100% vital to their continuing existence with no distinct reason given apart from warming; a nonsense skirting and skimming as to why this unique portion of the living world is fast disappearing. Think – algae – diatom- invisible to the naked eye. Another elementary and sad to say basic error was never to mention the absolute importance of anything microscopic, the foundation of all marine life and hence ocean weather systems ie the climate of this planet, us, everything. Yes, theres lots of so-called educated folk on bbc r4 in fact at times it seems to be a necessity for anyone appearing on the programming output and goodness knows an absolute necessity to be employed behind the scenes by the bbc; but I’m sure there will be many clever fifteen year olds with a microscope that have greater insight than this. Too little, too late.

The other quite bizarre takeaway from this bbc r4 Andrew Marr programme at 0900 this morning was at the end a minute or two on ‘whitening of the skies’ to tie in with a book plug and attendant pontificator on such matters !! .. ha ha ha … Andrew, please read this blog numskull. Its already going on, contrary to the impression given that this is all ‘future stuff’ its already under way and has been for years. My own efforts here re chemtrail sky alteration are much diminished because it seems the UKs most prolific chemtrail recorder (me) its now made sure little gets sprayed in the skies observable above this location, thank goodness as theres lots of other things I would rather do with my life. I know where we are going and theres nothing I can do to stop it, a view held widely among scientists. Thousands of pics, a developed reporting system and NASA worldview and flightradar24 tie-in with many hours blogging / recording and all are sufficient to prove to my own mind what is going on. Its pointless to try and engage anyone in this topic of conversation, their minds are incapable, untutored and totally ignorant of what is starkly obvious; popular media too has done a good job at ridiculing folk like me. An exception to the nowadays (previous say four or five months) of clear un-meddled skies here in the north east of England was last Friday 26th Feb 2021, difficult to detect on NASA Worldview, but I’ve lots lots to photograph up in the sky, mainly south and west of here, it was a massive chemtrail afternoon. Lots, parallel lines, cross-overs, chemtrails galore remaining suspended for hours.

Obtaining better web results …

… is mostly better when I switch back to the old stack ie firefox and XP O/S. Immediately I can get at the info I’m looking for, the newer windows 10 is like a straightjacket re results and also the O/S interface is abysmal.

Immediately I find a website that is new to me, firstly melting permafrost and secondly a Jan 15 2020 article of yet again seabird die-off. My own hobby horse and fascination has been algae and plankton and my concern with the hardly barely reported loss of diatoms, the irony being 70% of the worlds oil and gas is derived from ancient deposits accrued from diatoms. And oh yes … every fifth breath we take we owe to the oxygenating properties of diatoms.

I’m also still vexed that trump and his crooked hangers-on waste the news cycle and the time of adults when we have better things to be attending to ie climate change.

Climate change, but trump denies!

Yet the quite lamentable and quite laughable C in C donald j trump would have otherwise. As in all his life trump is so out of step. I deny him upper case.

A few posts ago I wrote on how 12 billion tons of ice melted in one day in Greenland from an embed youtube and this one day added a half millimetre to the worlds oceans. I’ve no means of proving this data but nonetheless etc.

Its my opinion that trumps climate change denial and roll-back/ deregulation of all valuable hard won legislation with conservation, energy sensibility, climate safeguards  are in fact War Crimes. trump goes golfing when he should be a President.

Shame upon him and the blight he brings.

lines in the sky, trump, whacky UK politics …

Friday and at most breaks in the lower cloud here north east England I can see chemtrail. Several previous days of dark cloud and rain forbid any such sightings. And as per last year this time ie middle May to June we seemed to be given a break from such things. So I guess from now on here in north east England it’ll be busier for seeing lines in the sky and yes next morning Saturday its an aluminised sky and at first opening of my eyes …. chemtrail.

Britain is going down the pan, the comedical notion of even a summer recess for politicians when they should be working overtime is tragic farce. All sort of pointless anyway when one observes the mire of Parliament; sense, good reason and getting things done has evaporated to leave partisan self-interest, obstruction and pandering to a very questionable four percent swing that does not warrant both the present and forthcoming turmoil. Brexit will be the death of so much of UK industry and financial, you can wave goodbye to the UK car industry and its supply chain. I actually think Theresa May did as best as could be done with such an emotive intractable conundrum as Brexit and shame upon Corbyn for basically doing nothing but harp, carp and obfuscate.

trump waves good bye to another liar, SHS …. and this week his talk of welcoming dirt from foreign interests unglues his many months of denying he never colluded. trump certainly brings nothing but shame and scandal to the Office of President, even to the hallowed and famous desk which for a small number of hours each week he seats himself, not reading anything, disregarding experts and phoning buddies as if still a teenager. Wheres Ivanka and Melania? … oh yes they are in make-up, wardrobe, spa, sauna, beautician, hairdresser, bespoke fitting, therapist, dietician, grooming, personal shopper etc etc etc …..

Theres also some chemtrail in the Baltic, some west of Sweden …

Lastly, a well presented resume of the fix we are in re climate change, presenting well the idea that not all inhabitants of this planet are hooked into cars and consumerism. Note the harrowing information that Albatross will bring anything red back to their chicks ‘as food’ including red plastic Coca-Cola bottle tops.

At 12:30 below we see the opened gut of a dead Albatross full of plastic crap.

arctic methane.

Arctic methane is the biggie, on a ten year timescale x120 more potent then CO2 … this we know already from many sources online, I mean blogs and material from sensible people not alarmist junk of which the latter I tend to avoid.

Explaining to a new friend yesterday its not just the two and three deg C rise by at my guess 2026 (I’ve a £1k wager on this for 3C+ by end 2026) that will in itself hurt us ie its just a hotter day to endure … BUT its the effect on world interconnected natural systems with locked in feedbacks and associated drives that respond at such fine-scale limits that will alter this biosphere to become un-livable, this literally one thou inch thick biosphere on an eight inch diameter childs football.  This is thinner than any layer of modern varnish, more like the old fashioned shellac.  Already the jet stream has split into two loops and is streaming hot moist air over the Arctic. My guess is that the end of the greenland ice sheet I quote “By 2100” as bandied in the general press is woefully overestimated; the nature of ice melt is a law unto itself.

Note that of recent years no-one is bandying the expression that ‘nature is resilient’ anymore …

8 inch dia = 8k miles dia of planet Earth

therefore .001 in (one thou inch) = 1 mile approx.

cigarette paper = 0.001 in (copier paper is 0.004 in)

And still diesel drivers idle their engines all day, at work, at supermarkets whilst waiting, during lunchbreaks etc etc.

So much if not all of our CO2 to O conversion shuts down at increased CO2 levels, it does not / can not ‘rise to the occasion’, ie green plants and forests, diatoms, algae.  Likewise my particular ‘hobby horse’ and fascination with diatoms is a critical factor, the irony of using ancient deposits of oil and gas mainly derived from diatoms has led to their own and our demise, see also the loss of the symbiotic relationship of diatoms to bryozoans ie coral reef.  No-one has ever seen with the naked eye a diatom yet nearly all of our petrol and oil carbon lifestyle is based upon them.

Flying alongside a chemtrail …

V interesting youtube, here we fly alongside a chemtrail and it is blindingly obvious the thing does not diminish or disappear as would a bona-fide common or garden contrail ie conventional accepted result of jets flying.

The chemtrail hangs there undiminished with its burden of aluminium, barium, strontium etc. In time it will haze wider, providing a duller sky often where it is not wanted and altering the sky to a man-made one.

It is ‘free-borne’ aluminium that increases wildfires, most likely contributes to bee decline / dementia (essential pollinators)  …  increases autism in children and destroys life in lakes and rivers and in my opinion is the death of diatoms, something never seen by the naked eye but are where we obtain 70% of the worlds oil and gas reserves! Likewise coral reef diatom/ bryozoan symbiosis has been pummelled. The latter scientists seem silent about, as also with the catastrophic Pacific seabird die-offs of three and four years ago. Tens of thousands bizarrely flying toward land all with empty stomachs.  Excessive caution coupled with two and three year peer review is not helping this situation, likewise trumps dismantling of the EPA and gagging any knowledgable scientist from speaking out loud is quite despicable and in fact quite evil.

If trump is not actually trying to play God aided and abetted by his sordid backers and cohorts then he is most certainly an assailant of God and Nature.

Seabird populations …

Its difficult to get up-to-date information on this, i am also ‘stuck for time’; three and four years ago there was massive Pacific seabird collapse and likewise with oceanic diatom collapse whenever I ask online questions I never get a reply.
