ivanka trump…

… sorry but you don’t get caps.

Interesting article in the UK Guardian, demonstrates to be most careful when attempting to appear cleverer than you really are; interesting link in that a window opens to erudition, the lives of people long ago, material that we can learn from.

Funny the wiki mentions Metz, a place been rattling around my head from a couple of day now, its a small world at times.

I often wonder to what extent the key-clicking social media ie twitter outreach by the trumps is in fact performed by some lackey with an hour to spare. These are strange people indeed and most certainly should not be anywhere near the White House. Also strange that criticism can be so stymied once self-interest, ego and greed kicks in.

Why is it the trumps soil most everything they touch, are oblivious to the honourable truth? Ace hoodwinkers.

Meanwhile, trumps bizarre, nonsensical and offensive withdrawl from the Paris climate accord, destruction of the EPA, the insane roll back of so many hard won advances on environment and pollution is tantamount to a war crime.

During trumps fake tenure ignorance rules.

Absurd election pledges.

If it cannot be solved commercially then its utter folly to guarantee broadband to EVERY household in the UK, a wide open pledge that will most certainly come to haunt Labour if God forbid they were in power. Are we not suffering sufficiently already with web addiction?

My smug hapless and bragging IR35 friend a posturing keen to be seen Labour voter likewise will regret the tightening of iffy tax loopholes, much as Diane Abbot realised on radio interview a couple of years ago its essential you can ‘do numbers’ when promising expenditure (re increase on police recruitment). There was austerity for a reason, but its a shame much Council and Social Services were lost, pity the madness of bailing out the Banks or Gordon Brown selling the UK gold reserves at the lowest price !

Inducements like candy for voters go back a long time, originally it was “Vote for me and you get a loaf of bread” possibly a better option than in these ‘modern times’ as the compliant cannot be duped, cannot be brushed aside months or years later when the so-called election pledges are thin memories, they get their loaf.

The absurd simplemindedness of Labours pledges and bribes beggars belief …

a shorter working week,

huge extra money for the NHS,

funding lifelong learning,

comprehensive childcare,

the compulsory purchase of the jewel ie BT broadband.

I might otherwise have been thinking of voting Labour as when you get a ‘good’ or effective Labour MP they shine, but theres too many Labour crew that are woefully and dreadfully lacking. A lot of the above pledges are wide open to manipulation and potentially a needless take-up by the dishonest that is taking for taking sake. Why do we have to fund lifelong learning for someone at taxpayer expense when in fact they would never bother to pick up a book and teach themselves, to gain a groundwork of the subject at home.

For instance personal health and how common sense can save a lot of money later in life, Doctors increasingly encourage people to get out and exercise, to walk as a regular hobby, many will not do this. Look around see the epidemic of obesity. Instead for a near zero cost preventative measure in later life the NHS will have to step in and pick up the pieces.

Corbyn is a master of the soundbite, of the indignant response to injustice and failings of his adversaries, but I think his own travelling caravan of Government would be wasteful, nonsensical, quite a charade.

Its a bad way to run any system, country or business by continually reversing the work of the previous encumbants every few years. Thank God for the Upper House.

Why is it theres so much nonsense around, witness the determination on HS2 to pursue the not needed max upper speed when lowering the upper operating speed a few percent will save billions and possibly save lives and stress in the longterm for everyone.

The one thing no-one is talking about, the increase in UK retirement age which is a scandalous stratification and divisive act of cruelty, this needs to be stopped.

Raising the retirement age hits the honest and the ordinary, the little people, in the worst way possible. If we are so-called ‘civilised’ then the retirement age should be reduced, not increased. The Chinese for instance find it incredulous we work beyond age fifty. Its all very well politicians that have the opportunity to rest their backsides on occasion to pursue the aged, the hurting and crack the whip further, but can they not realise how quite scandalous and very cruel this policy actually is. Also realise anyone with sufficient money has no need to work any more at some tedious or fatiguing low status job, those that can have already ‘got out’ therefore this stupid retirement age increase hits those that already are hurting, the most vulnerable.

The gold-plated turd known as trump.

I cannot believe trump is allowed to inhabit the Office of President. It is quite baffling, his apparent low IQ approach and defiance of decency, good sense and not one iota of human compassion renders his Presidency as to be evil. Its his backers that need to be recognised and tallied, a sordid mess. A mobster tenure.

This below is a useful resume of his wrecking ball, super-arrogant and ignorant so-called presidency.

Trump is a clown.
This is the swamp ie trump… a total fake that can barely read !

A defiant little shit.

The ultimate fake, schooled by a decade of crummy tv programme and thinking he can ride the tv soundbite, ride the people of the USA.

Look at that face, a face determined to be blinkered to reality, to see nothing, to live in its own constructed bubble, in fact a bubble-gum mentality of nothing over the horizon that could possibly interest him intellectually, nor offer any compassion to anything outside of that bubble. In my opinion he will go down as being quite sordid and the most dreadful aberration to decency and good humanitarian practice one could imagine. Mao of China perpetrated the most dreadful ignorance and callous disregard to rights and human life, trump in his way will be his equal.

Any normal person would be crushed by the embarrassment of being trump, but oh no not Private Bonespurs himself; he exists in his own fantasy bubble. The most recent chaos of destabilising the Middle East and his abandonment of the Kurds is a most evil and callous act, as if acted out without even a moments consideration to the human suffering and turmoil created. But that is the nature of trump, it is an ongoing chaos.

Its strange and frightening how such a destructive individual is by a series of flukes and manouverings, by seeking out vested interests of big money pals and enabled by tv skills honed over a decade has enabled trump to weasel himself into the Oval Office. I’ve met someone like trump before, all that results is a room full of broken toys, festering utter distrust and a fake reality based on fantasy rather than the here and now.

Climate change, a laymans guide.

I often feel there is difficulty in finding or locating the latest on climate change ie increasing methane, ice loss, feedback loops etc.

This overview by Sam Carana holds up well, succinct and eminently digestible for the layman; I am a layman.   http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/p/extinction.html

It illustrates the stacking pernicious influences which in themselves arithmetically ensure sufficiently our downfall and even for this guaranteed scenario Sam Carana plays a light touch re the inevitable compounding and accelerating positive feedback loops that will push us into a whole new series of situations. Its all a quite dire mix, highly ironic as its mainly the consumption of oil and gas from ancient diatoms that has led to our demise, taking away the fundamental first layer of oceanic food chain and 20% of the worlds CO2 >O conversion. And yet no-one has ever seen a diatom with the naked eye.

I think I’m correct in saying it was independent scientist James Lovelock that discovered the gas DMS a product of oceanic plankton and its importance. I suggest read his autobiography, an instructive blend of practical science, talent and an independent thinking mind.

Also …  https://www.whoi.edu/oceanus/feature/dms–the-climate-gas-youve-never-heard-of/

Sam Carana in a more recent post highlights the disregard paid by the latest IPCC (Sept 2019) briefing / report in which NO FIGURE IS QUOTED for the effects of subsea methane in its three forms, frozen hydrates, microbial, capped gas deposits. The IPCC are criminal in this neglect. However not as criminal as donald trump in the rolling back and eradication of decades of wise strategies to husband the planet more sensibly; but of course trump would know nothing of the natural world.

The stupidness of where we live, the lies.

trump and his many pronged attack on decency
trump and his many pronged attack on decency, truth and a forward moving, inclusive and enlightened society…

Yup …

Lier-in-Chief installed at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue indeed must assume all human beings are far beneath him. This is not conjecture, it is observable fact.

We are indeed witnessing the base layer of ‘the swamp’.

trump continues to attempt to ridicule others (note I deny him upper case) … but in fact he barefacedly denigrates himself to garbage day after day.

My utmost sympathies and ongoing strength to his victims.

trump should in fact should be tried for War Crimes once this sham debacle works its way to an honest conclusion, his refusal and downright utter refusal to incorporate ‘climate change’ into official USA scientific vocabulary is indeed a crime to Humanity.

And yet Pence the Eunuch stands in attendance.

Thank God for Free Journalism.

trump is a swamp animal …

Most certainly a slithering low brow performance as only rump seems capable. Here he is playing the part of voicing what he thinks is the ‘regular guys’ concerns, in other words conning to get votes. Can you see, in fact he is mocking his target audience. All those years of reality tv experience have created this monster and his equally slick but oh so photogenic daughter.

It baffles me that anyone can be taken in by this makeshift pasteboard con-man.

As with most of what trump says of others he is in fact the worst culprit.

I am baffled …

I had held YaleClimateConnections as worthwhile and a valid source for climate change info, not that I’m much of an avid watcher of these things, I’ve a life to lead and have gleaned full well where we are heading. When will the penny drop that ppl have not the time for presentations of say fifteen minutes, youtube has many other items that need to be scanned as quickly as possible, an attached precis in document form would be mighty handy.  But this mornings visit has me baffled. For instance at 02:40 we are told “by 2100” (a misnomer in itself) that I quote loosely …  “Permafrost carbon feedback by 2100 ‘is’ smaller, much smaller than human fossil fuel emissions” … EH ! ? “Its about ten percent of that” …. CRIKEY. Sorry, invert your arguament then factor in a move of the decimal point.

I find this misinformation and crap hard to stomach. Methinks there is skewed thinking, Orwellian newspeak in action; its called trump, the EPA putting the screws on. Maybe shrouded as a general balm to quell any mass hysteria? IPCC is not much better, its most recent foray into ‘forecasting’ I think I’m right in saying deliberately did not include material contributed by Prof Peter Wadhams the worlds expert on Arctic ice and forgot to factor in Arctic methane !!!

Earlier the first nugget of wisdom in this pointless misinformation from Yale is of the plant life re-colonising and will transform some areas of thawing permafrost / methane release to a nett uptake ie 00:50 and onto 01:00 ! Blimey … now that is real optimism gone crazy. Sorry but even a child would say a thin layer of green encroachment is far outnumbered by the dirty soup of thawing permafrost that in itself provides physical depth and bulk, coupled with and absence of oxygen to generate the dreaded methane that is 80-120 times he potency of the already dreaded CO2. Short term potency is all we need consider, human life will not be here to see it extend to the medium term. Remember too that with increasing CO2 and methane green growing things actually back down and go into reverse in their much needed conversion. Already diatom / algal populations and conversion are going into reverse, also diatom / bryozoan symbiosis on coral reef needs explaining clearly, not just the glib ‘bleaching’. Yesterday even, reading of the tiny numbers of remaining Right Whale and the loss of their principal food no mention is made that it is the loss of lower food chain, again diatoms/ algae that will probably be at the root of this problem.

Maybe I should have been a scientist, I hope I could get at the truth better than this.

Theres nothing in this presentation / vid that i can let go unchallenged, its back to back misinformation and nonsense, its endless and what is most alarming is that its issued June 2019!

“The abrupt thaw could represent about a half of the total permafrost climate feedback” at 02:50 …  in my opinion try 1,000 % plus.

“If we can slow down human carbon emissions” … no its all set in motion, nice optimism, but interconnected feedback loops and the workings of nature are so very stacked against us ie 03:25

“Hit our economy” …. yes indeed!

This is like something made by twelve year olds.

postscript … note the term ‘restricted grammar and limited vocabulary’ … reminds one of the Idiot in Chief presently occupying (sometimes) the Oval Office.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newspeak

One could say quite fairly that in this fag paper thin layer that we inhabit viewing the world as a childs football (ie 0.001in on an eight inch sphere) … drilling and capturing mostly the oil and gas from ancient diatoms that has upset the equilibrium which first allowed humankind to thrive and therefore latterly upset the amazing and horrifying multiplicity of feedback loops have now been forced to realign to the newly introduced contaminants and effluent that now trigger the chemical formula and physical  laws that are quite unstoppable.

trumps refusal and crowbar silencing (as with YaleClimateConnections above) are far worse than any war crime and he should be tried as such. Whilst we’ve got people in the dock maybe Carl Benz, Rudolf Diesel and Henry Ford are to be answerable. Strange but true.
