I cannot believe I heard this !

Kelsey Grammer just destroyed his bookings for the forthcoming ‘Man of la Mancha’  bbc r4 0830 and tells us he likes what he hears from donald j trump, had voted for him and the full two years later is still okay with what he hears.

This is utterly baffling. We have a screaming outright idiot/ dictator in the White House and the bbc r4 are able to pull off this stunt! I have always maintained there is bbc bias, an agenda, a viewpoint but this goes against all common sense and decency.

Another instance how ‘the world out there’ is increasingly distorted, the break-away seven from the Labour Party are in my opinon to be applauded, to have had the nerve to dump an unusable system called the Labour Party under Corbyn. Clever fella Corbyn, good on camera, loves his little loudspeaker van, always able to deride the party in power yet generally has no policy of his own, would be disastrous in power; one gets the feeling too much time spent watching, ruminating, but reacting (albeit often v slowly) … but no forward energy. Without T May as a punchbag its hard to know what he thinks.

We are in a strange place, the disastrous Brexit will destroy any UK car manufacturing and the supply chain, we were sold a simplified idea of the future. With what we know now Brexit would never happen, yet T May steam rollers on regardless. Those responsible for this simplified over-sell have a great deal to answer for. Perhaps the over-simplified ‘sell’ was an indication of their own limited abilities?

How we think, reach a viewpoint is quite odd nowadays, information is not necessarilly enlightenment. trump rides on this, tv show experience he knows fine well is all he need know.

Theres a common thread in all this, Brexit and trump … its the destruction of present evolved systems and trading partnerships. I shudder as perishable goods / agriculture will fare in the present situation. With trump I’d say he’s knocking down the little men, the smaller producers to allow his bigtime new friends to hoover up any opportunity at knock down prices.

Lets look at how being connected, the digital superfluity of so-called connectedness is diminishing the human experience … https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/84273524/posts/2177568231

I just do not care for Dimbleby on QT …

Its too formulaic, too easily pre-determined. In other words a game with a fixed outcome, the result of manipulation and an agenda. The BBC in fact as far as I can judge from their radio news output (r4) presenting an angle contrary to a more open approach. Consider the bbc radio news of two years of presenting trump in the best possible and uncritical light. I can think of many occasions when unfortunately theres nothing else to listen to, so its QT  and knowing fine well how this will turn out. I just do not like Dimbleby nor care for his manner; much over-rated in this context.

JRM sheds light on this bigotry, his wish to project a certain image, below we hear at 02:04 “I used to live not a million miles from Slough … ie Eton College etc etc and Dimbleby likes to raise a laugh at that …. “With your son”.

I’m okay with Eton, two of the most interesting charming people I’ve ever met are old Etonians, good for them! But I do not like Dimbleby scoring points with presumptions of his beloved Middle England viewpoint, levering an audience to raise his laughs. One man is open and honest, the other operating a self serving audience manipulation, an agenda. I am quite warming to Jacob Rees Mogg.

The bbc is wrong ….

… in the way it is reporting trump. Last night at 10pm on bbc r4  ‘The World Tonight’  radio programme we had a recycled many days old quote from djt that was read by ‘an actor’ … as if the Presidents vocal delivery is too whacky for legitimate discourse (which it is) regarding how he will not condemn Saudi Arabia for the Khashoggi murder and torture and probable dismemberment.  The complete three minute piece was deliberately, overtly biased toward putting trump in a good light. The use of the actors voice completely changed how we would have perceived the insanity from trump. The world cowers and sniggers yet the bbc in this previously respected radio programme is basically ‘so far up’ that all we can see are toenails. Crude imagery yes, but true. And an insult to all the listeners. A word I never use is ‘conspiracy’ but from what I heard last night the word fits.

Heres the poor man, RIP;  the world must never forget his sacrifice.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamal_Khashoggi

Strangely bbc radio struggles with pronouncing his surname and as for names in Mandarin they make up phonetics that do not exist … its easy, pop into any Cantonese take-away and get the correct sound.

Why is the bbc hanging on to this ridiculed and false viewpoint? Are newsroom people so inexperienced and useless? I would love someone to answer me this. Note I do not have tv, but do most mornings read online best quality US news reporting which I regard as valid material.

As Seth Meyers points out trump stumbles from one whacky misjudgement to another, spouting valueless junk as he mumbles along. ‘Get him outa here’ as usual with all trump put-downs being most appropriate to himself. trumps invalid criticism of Forestry Management in CA being stupid beyond belief sprinkled with the ‘raking the forests’ nonsense. That is obviously his grounds management from golf courses, which I’ve not heard anyone else make the connection.  A night in the forest would do him good, as with, like …. being outdoors and more than twenty paces from a golf buggy. Might make him realise his carefully tended coiffure has to go !

Witness also trumps recent junk regarding Admiral McRaven.

People just stand around at the Idiot in Chief talks crap; which is probably safer for everyone.

Also todays nasty nasty helicopter whirring Ivanka and emails invective / denial from trump displays his nasty nasty combative mindset. And this is from the so-called President of the United States !! Indeed we are trawling the bottom layer of sludge to come up with this shit.

Scouting for climate info …

trump and his nastiness diverts us from pursuing a more usual constructive life and chemtrails I reckon are probably to be absent until spring and the warming of the sun, at least here in the UK. So now at backend 2018 we can look at climate change info ….

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Watson

From experience I know that successive days or sessions on youtube yield better, more detailed or less populist material on any form of search, this was obvious about eight years ago one Christmas where I focused on Italian Neo-Realist cinema of the 1950’s. It took three evenings before I was offered the full-length ‘Umberto D’.

Heres some hints to look out for and many are covered/ linked here in previous posts …

  • bee and insect decline
  • arctic ice loss
  • antarctic melting from beneath
  • increasing sliding speed of glaciers
  • diatom and plankton loss and the importance of this
  • dead rivers
  • loss of caddis fly
  • fish stock decline (everywhere)
  • alzheimers in bees
  • west coast USA river entire ecosystem decline
  • Pacific seabird collapse (starvation) and its under-reporting
  • Fukushima
  • aluminium from chemtrails
  • California wildfires and chemtrail aluminium accumulation
  • autism increase (aluminium)
  • deforestation
  • needing to decrease beef consumption
  • population growth
  • too great a dependance on digital and the web and how we think
  • web manipulation, manipulating opinion
  • trumps madness and denial, the EPA tragedy
  • trumps lies and graduated decline into authoritarianism, American Fascism
  • the inadequecy of the IPCC reporting
  • methane in its three forms, frozen hydrate, microbial, geological (ice capped)
  • green plant transpiration reversal at increased CO2
  • the love affair with the SUV and carbon based personal transport
  • human arrogance and conceit
  • electric vehicles not being the answer they seem
  • chemtrail deployment, resultant ‘haze’ and impact on organic growers
  • Monsanto patents and aluminium resistance
  • jet stream alteration and split resulting in warm wet air over the Arctic
  • etc etc

Melania …

I hate to be critical, but cannot help but think more effort is needed, more insight, more depth in developing what is expected of her in this position, in other words it would be better to make more of an effort ie provide greater energy to her role.

‘Light touch’ is fair comment. But what a dilemma …..

This is outwardly a regresssion to the withdrawn hardly visible ruling and upper class of decades and centuries long gone. Yet what a difficult situation she inhabits with djt to placate.  Nice to think there could be more outreach, more action on recognising those that need help, but with donalds so reckless destruction and hellbent nastiness it would ring so hollow. Would there be any point to it? She would also meet with widespread protest, appearances would have to be very skilfully stage managed, contrary to the opinion of djt his supporters I think are fewer in number than he would admit, hence the stage managed rallies.  I personally as we say here in the north of England I would get ‘stuck-in’ to get active in the role as FLOTUS. One cannot help but merely think she wilfully re-inforces her husbands position. I dunno ….

https://www.newyorker.com/culture/annals-of-appearances/with-the-white-house-christmas-the-image-of-melania-trump-transforms-from-fairy-tale-prisoner-to-wicked-queen

Look at that term … ‘a paper doll – every outfit a costume’. Yup hard to realise anything other than. Its time to stop the pretence, brand ‘trump’ has done enough damage, gone far enough in its destruction, alienation and capricious bullshit.

I think we have given sufficient leeway and seen little of effort or real concern, or practical result. After all, look what she is married to….. a divisive nasty man.

In a sense its make or break time, if no real change is made then the cap is sealed, we know America is getting a mixture of gangster, deranged, fascist hoodlum for a President and his wife.

postscript … I still feel sorry for her as I did nearly two years ago when I heard that disastrous Inaugration Speech. It was dire, a totally out of sync message and a false take on what is real life. trump is like a magnet to the wrong sort of person, to absurd and disastrous ideas, drawn to him as iron filings. Perhaps on reflection Melania is in fact doing the best she can (no pun intended) as after all look who she is married to, it must not be easy having to be constantly mindful not to put a foot wrong.  My wife grew up in a  very difficult household, luckily moving to her grandmother as refuge; it was a mad household, drunkenness, violence, poverty and four small children shaking with fear, having to blank off the horribleness. Poor thing.

And as my wife said to me “It was like walking on eggshells”….

the measure of trump …

… he is a hollow man.

Little better than a wind-up clockwork toy, yet the GOP remains so silent, at least from what we glean from news in the public domain, but I bet theres some frantic cellphone tirades at the idiocy of what we see and hear. Its like a bunch of kids that have found a way too powerful motorbike, they can’t believe their luck or how powerful the thing sounds. Really, really, yes! So much is placed on an invented public profile, he gives ’em what they want to hear. Fascism always works in this way, riding a wave to power, yet it always goes wrong and I haven’t got the patience of fifteen years to see this work its way out again.

An instance yesterday,  following the postal bombs trump at that evenings rally in a most hollow tone  “We must behave ourselves” … even a child could see through that one, a most hollow tone. Yet he still launches into an ungrounded and idiotic kidney punch at the Free Press. Postal explosive devices in mainland USA are exceedingly rare, I suspect a dirty tricks department.

Here we see below the Fool intending to leave the room when he’s forgotten the task in hand.

https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/413057-trump-nearly-heads-out-of-room-before-being-reminded-by-wife-to

A clever fool, think on the graded incremental approach in rhetoric, very finely judged, perfectly paced. Theres lots of chatter behind him, when a so-called President relies on cronies and ‘interested parties’ for influence then how can he ever in any shape or form be considered fit for Office. He feeds from his rallies, note the handpicked stooges to rear, all very clever but after all djt is a seasoned reality tv performer, likewise Ivanka.

Its Fascism straight and clear and I reckon his supporters would be hard pressed to define its meaning ie its loss of freedom, individuality, possibilities for self improvement, total eradication of anything pertaining to justice, decency, honesty and clear open thinking. All Fascism as it evolves its power and State control has always pandered  to the perceived ills and sleights of the struggling working person or those in a precarious position. They like how he assaults established norms, authority. Its like “I’m gonna vote for that trump guy – he’s gonna give me what I want” …. and most certainly he will not.

P1360307
trump and his multi-pronged attack on decency and morals …..

postscript … these are indeed disturbing times. Increduously trump would like to angle for a news media that only spouts forth his own moronic ideals or those of his crooked old white men followers, GOP and otherwise. How can any form of voter base follow anyone that is so remote from real people, from reality?  like taxes are not for him. Calling ‘home’ a gilded cage atop a skyscraper of his own making ?  Or ‘home’ can be any number of golf courses and commoners being charged annually $400k to be allowed entry to Court. Never knowing the ordinary progresson of life, I would say in their new role inhabiting the White House  ‘actors playing a part’ to the core. These are indeed strange people. Jareds father himself serving time for vote rigging aong other things. A strata of high income society that would better have remained concealed, djt in his imbecilic belief he had a chance at POTUS 45 has himself indeed turned over the rock and shown us all what crawls around beneath it.

I cannot let it go …

… that trump yet again on last nights charade I mean rally adamantly applauds, congratulates such immorality; inciting anger and promoting physical abuse toward the Free Press, indeed anyone of the Free Press and last night notably Guardian Reporter Ben Jacobs.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/oct/18/trump-greg-gianforte-assault-guardian-ben-jacobs

Its time for the F word ie FASCISM. These masturbatory stage-managed sessions of trump (so-called rallies)  need to be seen for what they are. His tv reality show skills have served him well.

This undoubtedly is fascism. I am horrified and much troubled. Yet we must remember that what trump projects may not be the actual truth, may not be a true reflection of how people feel and most certainly is not at all a mainstream movement. As with all things trump there is much that is smaller than you think, his so-called business success, his abilities in general, his insight and understanding, his ability to lead a nation as President.  He knows he gets worldwide major coverage, but I think he needs to be seen for the hollow man he is; a human form of the animal genus Sus, facing downwards nose buried raking about in the dirt.  Ironic its yet another parallel from writer George Orwell.

Look back to other Fascists, they work the sore of the disaffected to ride along on them as a platform, they project a sense of injury imaginarily perpetrated by minorities so that others can hitch a ride in ‘denigrating’ and feeling superior. They abuse free speech, they have madcap schemes and see sleight and offence where none exists. This is as if adverbatim from the trump playbook. Fascists destroy the economy of their nation, people become much poorer, the so-called ‘wealthy elite’ become so much richer, yet ordinary people are restricted and confined and fascists create endless upset and friction and eventually war with anyone and any country that ‘is not their friend’.  Fascists cannot see reality in anything like a clear light and do not have the enlightenment that a real education provides. Fascists have media that promotes their cause without criticism; reality, decency and truth being abandoned. Voila! … its trump.

I remember reading a couple of biographies of playwright Arthur Miller and him telling us how when younger his stomach turned to hear home after home spewing the filth from Father Coglan, inciting hatred as he walked along the street.

Couple of people have mentioned recently how nowadays we seem so ‘dumbed down’ and from several chance encounters I can only agree. Does television rot brains?

Realise too the extent of trumps showmanship, selling himself as a brand and convincing prospective users of his name/ branding (which will cost them money) this does indeed take showmanship; this perhaps goes a long way to explaining his personality. He projects  himself to sound a realistic grounded in-the-know type man and quite easily makes the other man feel a cleverer person. This is called salesmanship.

Remember, he was a ‘millionaire’ by age three, his formative years were spent away from home in a military academy, tax and regulation mean nothing to him. He is ‘brass-faced’ to an extreme, the master of quite hollow lowest denominator wisecracks.

He turns everything inside out, upside down. Every insult he hurls is most applicable to himself. He says knows the art of the deal, I disagree, he knows the art of  ‘the screw’.  Maybe when he said he was the King of Debt perhaps that was his one true statement. I cried when I heard his Inauguration Speech as if written by a gaming obsessed nihilistic inadequate thats seldom ventured from his room; yes probably as it fits Bannon. We see pics of Bannon but when he speaks he too falls down flat, like much of the fascist detritus that hangs around trump. Bannons one true remark – “Trump is a streetfighter”.

I think trump is more stage managed and rehearsed than we realise, after all the backdrop ie fake supporters to his rallies are hand selected for the camera. Look at them, they are not engaged they couldn’t care less. Something that is so phoney and so make believe would never jarr with trump, he’d ride with anything that promotes him. I also think trump feeds off a constant flow of twisted croneyism, he cannot take this deliberate downward path without being coached and mentored, its all a voice of twisted old white men; of on-the-make prototypical fascists. Hence his rising early, tweets, phone calls to like-minded all before coming down at 11 to play a little in the Oval Office.

The poor, the ordinary and the anxious do not matter to trump, he is blind to them.

A president should also be the good shepherd.

We find he is remote from his own Intelligence material, after all its to a depth ie several sentences and multi-strand concepts that he has no patience for, it is from actually intelligent people, professionals… https://www.politico.com/story/2018/10/18/jamal-khashoggi-trump-intelligence-community-saudis-914280

postscript … this week bbc r4 ran a story on the pm programme from trumps ghost writer for ‘The Art of the Deal’ Tony Schwartz. His warning was stark. First vid is before election and is frightening enough ….
