Collective madness?

What is the matter with people? Why is it we hear such madcap nutty ideas from ppl that should know better?

Today we have the Labour Conference and when it comes to nationalisation (not a wholly bad thing) instead of electricity gas or water or the railways we hear its the organised theft of Public Schools ie fee-paying education that is bugging loony Labour long into the night! At least they had the wit to keep Diane Abbot away from interview today, enough damage has been done …. “Jeremy said at Conference last October” is not the best or brightest.

Fee paying education offers diversity and choice and hopefully excellence for those that want it, ie pupils pay far better attention and both expect to get on in life and their parents expect success too. My own frustration at state school for instance was how hopeless art and science were taught, so I taught myself. I’ve seen the strata of material available as pupils for state school, our Labour stronghold here offers plenty of examples of the dregs; take a drive around, young overweight couples without work wheeling the pram, a significant benefits obsessed layer of daytime tv that voluntarily or sadly against their will could hardly hold prospect of climbing from their unfortunate position and children freely gobbing up their real or imagined class affirmation ‘tick’ as they leave school each day (have they ever heard of TB)?  Yet the town is mostly good people, the worst third as usual colouring the whole scene. Here in the UK there is a diversity of class, expectation, education and demeanour, thank God for it, it should be celebrated!

In my experience excessively good and sparkling facilities do not make for necessarily a better exam result, the gear and tackle will generally stand there un-used more an Open Day prop to impress as happened for instance in my country Secondary School forty five years ago, it mostly still boils down to old-fashioned ‘chalk and talk’ memorising and understanding the nuts and bolts. Many science lessons were reduced to ‘playing hangman’ at the so-called teachers request. Why did no-one complain to the Headmaster?

Why is it that increasingly we are witnessing the most bizarre nuttiness from politicians that should know better? This reminds me of the problem a century or more ago when it was not realised the lead in canned goods for say an expedition to the Antarctic resulted in madness, dragging a piano onto the ice as essential travelling kit. I do not possess a mobile phone and as having a little electronics knowledge know fine well to NOT put such high frequency RF next to my head. Maybe that’s the connection?

Corbyns posturing and ill-defined position throughout the Brexit debacle has been shameful, even now he is unable to take the lead and is a Master of Obfuscation. What does he do all day … ruminate twiddling his beard and stare at the clouds?

The latest wheeze to abolish prescription charges, a multi-billion pound expense was hardly countered nor with near nothing for research and action in how to counter the Grim Reaper … ahem … I mean climate change. I think this is called ‘electioneering’ a free loaf of bread if you vote for me!

Postscript … dithering useless Jeremy Corbyn still will not formulate a line of action to pursue and move forward, there is a vast amount of work to be done, yet still his dwindling supporters stress ‘loyalty’ to a limp useless obfuscator that has done nothing but hinder ie Jeremy Corbyn. Its as if they are all in a dark totally unlit room yet are kidding themselves there is complete illumination and bright pin sharp clarity, all able to perform their tasks to perfection!

Loyalty to a donkey?
