Totally deranged…

… two days of trump telling us all how calm he is ! Yes indeedy Sir and at the podium makes sure to finish and reinforce that he is indeed a ‘stable genius’. No parody of this could ever be made when the original ie trump is so screwball stupid. The more he b’shits the more he swivels on his hips, the more unreal his mouth contortions. He’s utterly adrift, nothing more than a hollow man, a façade for more nefarious activities, his creepy backers.  Note the verging to slur.

He is incapable of adult discussion, hence his hissy fits. But funny how he coupled with Putin for two hours behind closed doors at Helsinki with NO MINUTES TAKEN. Many view this as treason pure and simple.

Yet beware, the covert vested interests of his cold blooded calculating backers would mean they’ll still be presenting him as a stiff and jiggling his arms to fool that he still draws breath.

trump misinformation, whitewash and sheer despicable nonsense…

… this is criminal in its outright steam roller of any objective truth, of any adult or serious reflection of what is the real world. Brave Cap’n Bonespurs seems to know no limit of the garbage he can spew for soundbite and camera, its all tv to him, crummy reality show or from that big house on the hill, it makes no difference to him. In a sense its as if we are all being brainwashed, horribly just as predicted by George Orwell.

The audacity of a semi-illiterate to repeat and repeat (I quote) “In the history of our country” and declare he is “The most transparent President ever” is shocking, mind numbing, frightening. But that’s how he works, he frightens, scares, up-ends any sane mature viewpoint. History and the books pertaining are all closed to him, as with everything, he makes it up as he goes along, held in equilibrium as if in a spiders web of delusion, hidden agenda and BS for the masses (ie the handy medium of tv).

Look for instance at what would or should have been a diplomatic career in the service of a trump Administration, to provide diplomatic outreach of a constructive nature, but trump has wrecked any top-flight endeavour, no ‘best people’ would ever work for such a fascistic ignorant Administration, trump is toxic and prefers do-all stand-ins of most dubious ability and experience on the wider world stage … treading water, hanging on.

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/05/22/politics/trump-mueller-fact-check/index.html

The plus point is that once trump is ousted one way or another, there will be many fine people, top level performers quickly able to step forward and work to shrink the memory of trump and move forward in the world to better things.

Head in the sand jingoistic nonsense …filthy tariffs from trump.

bbc r4 Today programme had a most horrible twisted interviewee that I suppose valuably shed light on how insane some of the thinking is in the trump Regime. Asst Prof Dr Greg Autry of Southern California, years ago author of a book titled ‘Death by China’ was given prominent airtime this morning.  Why are we hearing this … oh my goodness, its hard to believe what we hear…

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_fourfm

The alarming and skewed nonsense, I mean the interview with Asst Prof Greg Autry starts at 08:10 and we can say that this interview is certainly enlightening, I think Autry doesn’t realise he’s being exposed as the regressive jingoistic dinosaur he appears to be. Citing 19C USA tariff mindset, Hamiltonian Economics and openly regarding Zhongguo (China) as a suitable case for I quote “regime change”, its all worrying to hear. Perhaps Autry (if he is so keen on historical precedent) forgets its the Chinese that built the railroads out to the Pacific and lost many lives in the process, blasting through difficult terrain etc when white men would not perform such work. Perhaps Autry (if he is so keen on historical approaches) forgets the Imperialist crowbar from the British that resulted in flooding China with opium in the nineteenth century; the west cannot regard themselves as any beacon of virtue.  Also mentioning three times instances of ‘concentration camps’ being used within in a couple of minutes (yes we get the message) … admittedly there are some terrible things still happening in China BUT …. China has come a long way since the Communists took over in 1946, then thankfully the demise of Mao and since 1980 has worked miracles, has evolved at extraordinary pace in all fronts and provided the world with low cost product that has allowed massive profit margins and still allowed ordinary people to buy so much at such keen prices. And yet trump and his nasty imperial regressives want to bite off the hand that has enabled so much easy profit to be made by western businesses large and small !  Uh-oh this is v dangerous territory for the Asst Prof to hammer home all points of negativity and yet ignore totally where the world can work towards something better and is (was?) working toward something better.  This ignorant mindset upsets me, after hearing the interview I felt as when I heard the abysmal ‘Inaugration Speech’ from trump, close to tears.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_fourfm

Chuck Schumer is also cited as hailing to trump “Hang tough with China”. If its the same Chuck Schumer I’m thinking of then I’m very surprised at his low-brow simplistic exhortations.

Asst Prof Greg Autrys book actually of 2011 vintage received abysmal reviews and is generally described as jingoistic alarmist nonsense citing problems but offering no solutions, no understanding of how to move forward. As if shouting at foreigners will make them understand you any more easily, or more obedient. This is where the present leadership of the USA has descended. Therefore we wonder how far the bbc scraped the barrel to come up with this particular interviewee Greg Autry… bbc radio news other than ‘The World Tonight’ at 10pm is often is hardly worth airtime in the perennially golden glow it casts toward trump, imagine you were blind and this were your only news source!

One little man Autry with one little misguided outdated book his shot at fame, his ‘theory’ of how to deal with China does not make an opinion. Rather ask the hundreds and thousand of Heads of Corporation what they think of the direction and inabilities of trump? Tariffs cannot help anyone. trump already is creating suffering, turmoil and needless poverty and upset in the middle east, Iran, North Korea etc now he’s heading toward China. He is attempting to engineer particular regimes and countries on the world map to increase and prosper whilst to damage others. Perhaps his low attention span and lack of grasp will work to the worlds advantage.

There needs to be greater more honest psychological evaluation of the so-called God help us – Commander in Chief, he is much as when a younger man, veneer thin, blustering, ignorant. In his lack of ability he thinks tv skills will serve him sufficient for whatever task he performs, frighteningly there is a grain of sense in  this bizarre mindset

  •  trumps total inability to organise, form and develop any deal whatsoever, this a reflection of his life so far.
  •  trumps inability to realise or cope with Asian protocol, diplomatic technique or manners.
  • trumps total denial of the need for an intelligent experienced Diplomacy. Bolton and Pompeo are nowhere near up to this task.

As you can see I deny trump upper case.

The limits of knowledge …

…  its quite a high falutin’ term and has been used many times in the past, but mostly toward ‘advanced thinking’ by academics and philosophers but in my post here I mean it toward how it is often so difficult to put across in a few words areas of interest that I think others should also explore, ideas for children to build upon with activity and focused attention, a potential source of interest, joy and knowledge.

The limit of knowledge is that they are not interested and parents often now will view it as if witchcraft, ie the unusual, the less trodden pathway !!!

A case in point is encouraging young people to get a little more art and craft orientated in a practical manner, to explore images and artists from the past, to get practical  whether its cutting and pasting or sketching or modelling, clay, plaster whatever. To develop manual dexterity, to open pathways of thinking and co-ordination.  If by age ten they are not so inclined or have never known such activity then its not a given they will show any interest whatsoever in their lifetime. The curse of the screen has in a decade destroyed centuries of skill development that each child could experience so that in life they can have some facility with their hands, sketch, visualise, convey their meaning. Nursery rhymes, simple songs and poetry have for most children fizzled to nothing, become non-existent, needlework, helping with mother… all gone. Knowing the latest pop video release or minute nuanced trend in pop fashion is not building or development for rounded able citizens, just candyfloss, so much smoke and mirrors based on fantasy, endless escapism.

Looking at the Times newspaper April 29th p.29 print edition we find not even experts can agree, for instance counter to any common sense the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health decided this year there was no evidence that screen time itself was harmful!! This beggars belief. April 2019 the World Health Organisation injected some sanity to ask parents to greatly control and limit the amount of screen time children experience. Hurrah for the World Health Organisation !

Surely even a few brief seconds of seeing children hooked and over-enthusing on this junk can tell a parent or concerned adult all they need to know. Dear knows how poor their abilities will be as they progress through school, I’ve a feeling performance could be assessed as two and three years behind. Even the use of paper and being able to practice handwriting, sketch convey ideas is seen as arcane and marginal to requirements!!!

More enlightened parents will see to it Little Jonny does not skip the fundamentals the basics and will realise among other things paper and bookbased learning is essential. Theres an element of social class and background here that is being amplified and widened. A screen just cannot provide the depth quality or reinforcement to learning that is required, or the joyous serendipity of say a paper based textbook or encyclopedia.

This means there is an increasing gulf and stratification between those that can and those that cannot. An increase in differences of social class and performance. This unravels the efforts made to increase opportunity and pull up the poor performing, particularly since the Second War.

https://chicago.suntimes.com/well/world-health-organization-guidance-limiting-kids-screen-time/

Yet still in the above we hear of groups asking for evidence … answer = watch the bloody kids and see how skewed their behaviour actually is !!!

Likewise the UK Guardian in its often emotive woolly nonsensical fashion asks for evidence – as if again do they not use their eyes and ears to see things are amiss!

Kids cannot even ride in the car without having a screen installed right in front of their faces, to suck on the digital pap as they journey along; God forbid, more junk from Hollywood and endless animated crap. What we could describe as using that dire term of modern times ‘a targeted audience’. Or maybe a film about journeying thro Monument Valley … as they drive thro Monument Valley ?

trumps thinking …

… bit of a contradiction but in private he most certainly can manouvre, side-step, duck and weave. This article sheds light on trumps way of doing things …

Portrait of the President as a Gangster

Most certainly not suited to Public Office in any shape or form.  His qualification of ‘The Art of the Deal’ as we now can see multiple times is ghost-written bluff, the twice fiasco with North Korea I hope and should be, never repeated. He is no Statesman whatsoever (an essential for any leader) and aligns with all the questionable regimes of the world. He was Kim jong Uns best publicity ever, his gateway to world media.

trump will now gloat on this neutered Mueller Report for years to come, shame upon William Barr for stooping so low, it will displace trumps previous obsession with crowd size. An obsession is a handy thing to a certain type of person, it displaces ‘having to think’ and can look as if one is talking / doing something when in fact its just so much recycled hot air. blah blah blah for the umpteenth time, the umpteenth month. But never mind, we all can see it coming, the whirring helicopter engine, the charade of urgency and busy-ness, drawing close his favourite and aligned media types.

What will be most telling in the weeks and months to come is how trump will attempt to goad and humiliate the Free Press. We will see him descend to levels of vitriol so far not displayed. This forthcoming behaviour will show us all what we need to know. The more he thrashes around the further down into the stinking barrel of filth he will descend. My analogy of trump with Mao I think quite accurate. You can show a picture of Mao to a twenty year old and some don’t even know who that is.

trump and his multi-pronged attack on decency and truth ..... a misguided and dangerous fool, the ultimnate con-man.
trump and his multi-pronged attack on decency and truth …..

One thing is for sure, trump will never read it. Other than looking for his name on the first page bigboy marker in hand as far as trump is concerned its just so much waste-paper.

So clever but couldn’t tell it was a blackbird!

I seldom listen to bbc r4 BH on Sunday mornings  (ie ‘Broadcastig House’ programme at 0900) as I’m generally a r3 man but before ten this morning i tuned in and was staggered as not one of the assembled clever people could state the birdsong recording being played multiple times was Turdus merula … the blackbird!! Not one, not even the bossy sounding know all elder middle class woman that reeked of tweeds and sensible shoes!

Has none of these people walked in a park particularly at dusk, or heard birdsong from their own garden, or their grandparents garden, or the blackbird echoing along the street after sunset? Has none taken any notice of birdsong, apparently not. So can we fear that as we lose species and populations that these clever folk, loosely labelled the chattering classes will have no idea what they have lost?

I’m bloody annoyed at this actually the more I think about it.

A fortnight ago March 26th p.20 a Times article as mentioned a few posts back has a new Controller James Purnell that to save time / money interviewers are ordered not to read the books or publications of the people they have for interview! Purnell is keen to broadcast to a younger audience, including bbc r3 and 4 output. In the same article Michael Buerk complains of the excessive level of private education within the bbc, but surely i would think its never been any different. Its oversimplistic to grief at such a thing, what i’d rather have however is the best, the brightest, the educated. George Orwell / Eric Arthur Blair was an old Etonian, but then again he was an extraordinary person, enigmatic, highly inventive and original.  He railed against convention and the  accepted status and stratification of the classes.

But i do not want dumbed down r3 and r4 output, please reserve that for bbc r1 and 2 and whatever other stations.

trump: I’m frightened now.

The dreadful nastiness of donald j trump now needs to be reined in. His intent is clear and he represents a regressive mindset far worse than anything visualised as ‘the swamp’. trumps downward spiral needs to now be reined in, for decency to be pressed upon him and his unsuitability for high office made clear. However today we read trump and his tweets are getting most unpleasant, sinking to lower depths of ignorance…

Ilhan Omar, isn’t she lovely, its in her face! Likewise with AOC, these are valuable and much needed people.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/apr/12/ilhan-omar-democrats-trump-attacks-sanders-warren

Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met are Moslem and Pakistani. To berate such people is silly trending toward sick. Offenders such as trump and I guess Stephen Miller and others in the creaking decrepit wagon called the White House have most evidently inadequete and shrivelled cold hearts, their paucity of human compassion is deplorable. It also indicates they seem to have read so little, never sampled the world at large as from the printed page; their minds and hearts have never got out of first gear. As with all con artists, fantasists and bluff merchants anything other than a ten second bar-room soundbite is beyond them. Nothing wrong with such brevity in its self among ordinary folk but not fit for a President.

We know for instance trumps only reading of a serious newspaper is to work across the page with his bigboy marker to see how many times his name appears, theres no comprehension, no insight, no learning. The racists such as we see attaching themselves to the trump bunker and to trump himself are narrow and cold, certainly lacking in completeness as civilised humans.  Perhaps their own guilt and shame fuels at lashing out at others they perceive as different, after all trump has quite happily mocked the handicapped. With climate change ahead we haven’t time for this nonsense. trump is immature, always was and is ignorant, always was.

Little better than a snot-nosed playground bully from the backward class.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/apr/12/ilhan-omar-democrats-trump-attacks-sanders-warren

I see a great similarity with Mao and trump, both were determined to establish chaos and set people against each other. And Mao of course just like trump in his ignorance could never accept the notion he had made a mistake, or did not understand practical reality, both are highly impractical. Likewise, Mao and trump will so quickly turn against a previously devoted member of staff. The similarities of Mao and trump are quite uncanny.

Its quite accurate to compare Mao and trump as alike …

  • insulated from reality.
  • impractical in the extreme, Mao was extraordinarilly impractical.
  • endlessly creating chaos, delighting in chaos.
  • turning upside down established practices and customs.
  • secretive, above the common masses as if breathing rarified air.
  • hidden schemes and projects.
  • brazen, capable of violence, no compassion, much like trumps beloved sharks.
  • thinking only of themselves.
  • knowing how to manipulate/control media, to create a cult, to create fear.
  • can do no wrong.
  • will easily drop and destroy anyone that served them.
  • deliberately sets person against person.
  • its trump / Mao they serve, not the nation.
  • experts are ignored.
  • sycophants promote absurd non-truths and their masters ignorance zealously.
  • Russias influence on 1950’s and 1960’s China has never been fully revealed… just as with trump!
trump and his multi-pronged attack on decency and truth ..... a misguided and dangerous fool, the ultimnate con-man.
trump and his multi-pronged attack on decency and truth ….. a misguided and dangerous fool, the ultimate con-man.

The Great Entanglement … oops the web.

Increasingly i think the web is in fact the Entanglement … The Great Entanglement, to be spoken of in future generations such as the Enlightenment, a  signal of change but this time its for the worse.  We are heading toward a situation that we read predictions indicate a major part of world power generation will be consumed with online data surveillance / storage and whacko ‘get rich schemes’ as bitcoin.

We do something, some small activity and that alone warrants a followup posting and texting and endless selfies, I’m slightly guilty re this blogging but its mostly me writing to myself, collecting useful material and pushing forward, developing my ideas.

We are losing the point of what life is about, endless consumerism, mindless ‘enjoying’ viewing, sampling and nothing beyond; browsing the immediate. A major ‘de-tech’ would do us all good. Admittedly i realise business demands connectivity, thank God  I can choose my own level, I have the benefit of having practical work to perform in a very old fashioned manner, that cannot easily be displaced or altered.

Yesterdays radio news tells us Uber being floated has never made a profit and possibly will never generate a profit. Be mindful its costs are being covered and salaries, fees, fixed and variable costs being met; but all the same asking punters to put money in to something that on the face of it generates no return on capital is again just plain whacko! When things such as this are happening its time to eliminate exposure to stock market fluctuations. I likewise dread the American crash once trumps shenaigans and inability with Economic Management comes home to roost. That little old thing called debt, a self proclaimed ‘King of Debt’ should NOT be President and his denigration and belittling of overseas trading partners is crass beyond belief, but hey … its djt !

Ramble, my fear of data, bbc dumbing down …

Twice recently i’ve heard material / programmes on bbc r4 that are utter garbage, misleading and vacuous. You can spot them from a mile away, bought-in i guess and often about tech, data, AI and delivered in a breathy ‘we are travelling so far ahead’ BS mode that its all utterly unbelievable and always with a Stateside voice-over.  delivered as if all is unavoidable, we will / are being overwhelmed by data, analytics etc. Please back up your fantasy projections; I mostly believe what i hear but journalism of rigour needs proof.  I am being expected to believe candyfloss ….

You are talking to a man that does not buy in to modern crap, my idea of fun is to chop the sticks, wash by hand, use a pen, doodle, learn things each day, memorise verse and text, look at books which allows me access to brighter and clever people than myself, to enjoy and learn from mans art and handicraft of decades and centuries gone past.

We can expect worse, The Times newspaper Tuesday March 26th (p.20) voiced concern at the dumbing down of bbc r3 and 4 … Michael Buerk worries over the predominace of public school educations, but personally I am less concerned on this point, as surely its never been much different?  All i want is quality.  I do not want to hear a dumbed down repetitive output that is blinkered to better things. I put my faith in the privately educated! However the new Director of Radio  James Purnell is very youth orientated and is actively reducing bbc r3 & 4 but is ring fencing younger targeted material on radio 1 and 6 music as sacrosanct (ehm … anybody listen to these at all) ?  Tish pooey … the young couldn’t care less abt radio as a medium and radio 1 is nothing of its former self, it cannot be, times have changed no longer is it universally what we could hear playing in households up and down the land (as a kid we mostly tuned in to the Dutch pirates, not understanding was a bonus).  Programmes such as bbc r4 Womans Hour have been badly served, re-scheduled at a most unsuitable loony time on weekday mornings when mothers and housewives etc have to get busy !

A bit like Brexit, the increasing love affair with data and AI is quite puerile, sickening and needless. But like zombies etc we rush to embrace this crap!

I quite happily have no washing machine and each day wear clean shirt, boxers and t-shirt (its called a washing line) … likewise no mobile phone. I do not need such things and i save energy and minimise my electrical consumption and data footprint. BUT BUT BUT in our desperation to embrace technology theres an unfathomable appetite to harvest data, endless data .. what fckng time I open my curtains or what i have in my fridge should matter to no-one. This is data gone beserk and human values need to prevail, not the values of some faceless twit in a corporation i care nothing for.

For instance ‘bit coin mining’ we read consumes the electricity of a small country! If ever a bubble was promoted it is bitcoin. Perhaps it will be tulips next ….

So lets connect again as how we are hellbent of racing to the abyss, below in the Grauniad we read of the electrical power required to run banks of servers and data collection of which so much is pointless and trivial in the extreme … https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/dec/11/tsunami-of-data-could-consume-fifth-global-electricity-by-2025

trump and his Fascism …

NAST NASTY donald j trump who revels in cruelty, a toxic brew of ignorance and callous disregard. Theres lots of dirty over-moneyed numskulls behind him, I shudder to think what conversations occur behind closed doors. And yet the likes of Pence a ‘so-called’ Christian is of such low morals he tags along for the ride, his only chance to feel power on his lips. A pun for Pence … very definitely small change.

I just found this over on Daily Intelligencer  …http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/04/trump-kirstjen-nielsen-fired-homeland-illegal.html#comments

I think we need to brush up on our history, how dangerous it is to think the little people the ordinary can be bullied and herded along and we needn’t take notice, to not help them; as much like trump delights in wielding the power of Presidential Office toward a helpless better life seeking refugee we need to regard their feelings and consider kindly what it is they would prefer.

trump the utter fascist, the liar and trouble maker fantasist that he is needs to be recognised for what it is. trump is hellbent on creating imbalance and disharmony; ignorance developed to an artform, as artless as it is; very much the schoolboy bully / thug.

The skilfull gradation of his onslaught is indeed very clever, you cannot say ‘moron’ or idiot because he in his horrible trumpian way is very clever, a nastiness gone crazy, thrown to its limit. trump is inded dangerous, his deliberate denigration and assault on the Free Press, his courting of dictators and to promote all that insults developed society.

These people below were uncertain, bewildered and whimsically excused every insult and deprivation that was pushed onto them until it was too late. No-one should be forced to do anything in this world that they do not willingly desire.
