I started a facebook account a few days ago (which I have mothballed) and already knew it was a jumble of nonsense as any form of blogging platform; the local tie-in unwanted was an irritation as were ads which screamed ‘fake’.

An hour or more of my life wasted. Compounded by several logins foiled and insisting on a pic of myself log in after log in. Needless to say it was a random piece of junk submitted.

But ….WTF !

facebook is a crappy cluttered trivial to extreme piece of junk. Yet think of all the lovely analytics it provides. Quite obscene. Life was never meant for such up the arse triviality called facebook. Or surveillence called facebook.

My reason for this post is the irony of trump endlessly hurling the insult FAKE to the Free Press ie journalists of acumen and hard effort yet when it comes to the fakery and nonsense of facebook – his little helper to election – he is silent. We can now see the extent of Russian manipulation via facebook. I’m sorry to say that I don’t hold Zuckerberg in any positive esteem.

Not being a Statesider I wonder if this gets much exposure here in Europe and the UK?

I’ve got plenty of time for Samantha Bee, likewise Seth Myers, Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert and others or anyone that raises alarm and questions bigotry. But I do miss Keith Olberman and wonder quite why he ceased his valuable youtubes?

I think it will soon be filled with bunks, desks and lockers but as an opening its good for Christmas. Realise, its commonly assumed trump is ‘on something’ when speaking at these rallies, we know he has difficulty or at least a major reluctance to deal with the written word, hence the open refusal to use the tele-prompter. He openly without hesitation says “I don’t drink” as put forward so quickly and as witnessed in others that we know fine well they use something else.

Postscript a day later: I had written … When ‘orating’ he’d promise anything if it got an ovation ….. he is fake, a con, shallow, unread. The backdrop is managed, the man in the hard hat, the disconnect. And deep in Russian debt. unquote. The first part above is wrong, his journey of grift and con has been very carefully graded just to be ‘on the edge’ of what is acceptable or legal. He will not ‘promise anything’ … far from it. His rhetoric looks to be most carefully planned, or as is also possible as with all great conmen talkers he knows exactly what he’s saying. When orating trump throws out the same tid-bits the same dirty nonsense that he knows tickles the crowd and illicits the same knee jerk reaction. A jerk from the Jerk.

Now we live in a world without Mattis or Kelly to contain trumps stupidity, commentators now used the term invertebrate (something without a spine, generally slimey and wriggling, easily squashed) that will staff the White House; horribly appropriate term.

The unhingedness of …

It was there for all the world to see, someone already we know moves awkwardly amongst other men, G20 and now a funeral all in barely a week. The body language and manner, time spent, face, interaction … all quite telling.

To drive away before even the coffin had left the Church was grossly uncouth, insulting I would say. But theres no love lost, everyone knows the jerk they are dealing with, having to patiently wait until all the dirt forms a noose. It was a good idea to have him there, it shows the measure of him.

Previously, to twitch and jerk around whilst supposedly be reflecting at the deceased lain before him again more telling than he could ever realise, he could not even give him a full minute of reflection. The brevity of it all, in fact a deliberate turn on the heel without ever once allowing the body to relax and the mind to ponder and reflect. Not a man that can reflect other than sharpen his hatred.

What a strange disconnect there is constructed, as if a reality tv character has extended the script into real life. It shows how empty of wholesome human effort the USA has become when so much is given over to makeup and clothes and presentation, a seemingly endless supply of very expensive costumes for the girls, to the ad hoc press briefing accompanied by the dramatic whine of the helicopter engine.

‘Get him outa here’ fits and likewise his family members that should not be in the White House. What is it that they do? Any good being done? This is what we could say a ‘rubbish administration’. Rendering into rubbish any good they see around themselves.

The bbc is wrong ….

… in the way it is reporting trump. Last night at 10pm on bbc r4 ‘The World Tonight’ radio programme we had a recycled many days old quote from djt that was read by ‘an actor’ … as if the Presidents vocal delivery is too whacky for legitimate discourse (which it is) regarding how he will not condemn Saudi Arabia for the Khashoggi murder and torture and probable dismemberment. The complete three minute piece was deliberately, overtly biased toward putting trump in a good light. The use of the actors voice completely changed how we would have perceived the insanity from trump. The world cowers and sniggers yet the bbc in this previously respected radio programme is basically ‘so far up’ that all we can see are toenails. Crude imagery yes, but true. And an insult to all the listeners. A word I never use is ‘conspiracy’ but from what I heard last night the word fits.

Heres the poor man, RIP; the world must never forget his sacrifice.

Strangely bbc radio struggles with pronouncing his surname and as for names in Mandarin they make up phonetics that do not exist … its easy, pop into any Cantonese take-away and get the correct sound.

Why is the bbc hanging on to this ridiculed and false viewpoint? Are newsroom people so inexperienced and useless? I would love someone to answer me this. Note I do not have tv, but do most mornings read online best quality US news reporting which I regard as valid material.

As Seth Meyers points out trump stumbles from one whacky misjudgement to another, spouting valueless junk as he mumbles along. ‘Get him outa here’ as usual with all trump put-downs being most appropriate to himself. trumps invalid criticism of Forestry Management in CA being stupid beyond belief sprinkled with the ‘raking the forests’ nonsense. Media can serve to eliminate developing a wider viewpoint, or to see the wider picture, of the wrecking ball of trump, both materially and psychologically, of social structure, bonds, communities. His actions are sick, his mentality is sick. George Orwell was incredibly prescient.

trump didn’t like it being pointed out by CNN Jim Acosta that the caravan is in fact many hundreds of miles away and poses no real immediate threat. trump seems to have bypassed what an education should provide, ie realistic, thinking citizens that will not see their country trashed.

Recycling of materials – some myths …

Its a good thing re-cycling / recovery of household waste is in action… BUT there are some oustanding errors in its application.

A neighbour of mine likes to wash out and screw tight his empty plastic water and pop bottles, these are biggies and when their bin blew over in the wind they scattered all over and rolled effortlessly all onto the busy road. Stupidly I risked my neck and managed to retrieve quite a few. It dawned on me, the collection lorry will be driving away with a hopper full of air and the crushing pressure must be quite absurd, ie perfect round cylinders super-slippery defying compaction. How bloody stupid. Once crushed and capped before binning so much easier and efficient for the recycling journey.
At the Council waste site, cars drive in with their goodies, a wine bottle, a small cardboard box, hence huge skips get loaded with uncompacted cardboard boxes and others with uncompacted garden waste. Last week at the local bottle bank theres a Bentley delivering his bagful of bottles … how jarring in some ways. Big lorries arrive etc etc all are contractors at God knows how much an hour to cart away huge steel containers containing more air than items ….. stupid ! And if as happened a few years ago I try to retrieve a say triple wall cardboard box for sending goods export I get my nuts chewed off, in a most nasty manner. Oh yes and same operative drives a Porsche …… we can only assume he is doing his own ‘recycling’.
Realise lots of this recycling from the UK ends up the other side of the world, follow that item in your mind, imagine the price tag this carries in its transportation and how it ends up possibly dumped or discarded.
bbc r4 had a programe at the weekend (Sat 27th October 2018 5:30 pm) ‘The Bottom Line’ re plastics recycling, apart from its irritating format and Gavin snickering into his too closely miked gob as seems to be the format not once was the distinction made between thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics. This is a fundamental ‘your first minute’ in any materials lesson. One can be recovered and recycled ie reformed remoulded and the other most certainly CAN NOT ie resin based composites such carbon fibre such as wind farm components, glass fibre circuit boards, phenolics…. these will merely blacken, smoulder and char.

I never buy new electronics, in previous decades my tv and audio have all been donated or rescued from the skip site but of course now retrieving a likely audio set up is a mighty dangerous act, even an offence (to recycle as a functioning item) … again… how shortsighted!
