Wow, some sort of collective lobotomy must certainly have occurred in the bbc news room to issue such biased unthinking nonsense. I will say in bbc defence their evening radio programme ‘The World Tonight’ 10pm r4 generally has more bite to it, closer to some critical thinking.

We also read this morning that a billion dollars is going via a military conduit for the needless wall under completely needless and mis-applied Emergency Powers. Theres already sufficient wall in all the places that matter, ‘the wall’ to trump is merely a hellbent dogma spewed at rallies to whip the crowd up and give ’em something to think about meantime. Remember his backdrop of rally attendees are handpicked for the camera, the man in the hard hat etc all stereotypes and recently once he had shouted ‘bullshit’ to the crowd he triggered a pre-arranged chant of ‘USA USA USA’ etc. Its all a con, all fakery, something he excells in, stage managed like a tv reality show, one must admit possibly the most qualified in the country to do so.

trumps wall is totally needless, merely an exercise in human misery (and impending climate change which he will not openly admit) ….. to aid protect the excessively wealthy when everything ‘goes wrong’ for the ordinary person. When trump says he’s going to get ‘the mexicans’ to pay for the wall he really means the taxpayer. This is plain and simple trumps flip-flop reversal in so many instances. He calls the media fake when he himself is exercising fakery on a Grand Scale!

Now that Muellers Report is proving a watered down version of what most people had hoped for trump feels vindicated and emboldened for further new levels of craziness, incompetence and affront to decency and good sense. To push the unspoken agenda of his bigotted cohorts themselves mostly pickled in excessive wealth and utterly remote from ordinary peoples aspirations, hopes and fears.

Lets do some more ‘thinking’ …. this man Robert Reich can aid evaluation of how nasty and hopeless trump really is. He’ll say anything to win praise, to gain support at that instant. Maybe hopeless isn’t the right word, more like ‘say anything at the time to protect his position’…. I had a mother like that and maybe thats why i hate such underhand deceit.

trump cares nothing for the ordinary person, for education, medical assistance or basic priveliges or rights for the ordinary general population. All are signs of totalitarianism / Fascism. His vacuous and quite useless promises re coal are hopelessly out of date, of bringing back jobs again hopelessly out of date and his denigration of for instance China quite obscene considering how much profit the West makes from importing goods from China. trump will bankrupt America much as he has done with his own inherited wealth. trump will say anything for a five second soundbite.

Funny how this echoes with the ‘just before’ finale / vote and as with James Comey some unheard of pillock comes along and drops an absolute bombshell, which again, has resulted in a disastrous outcome.

There is business to be done, uncertainty, this endless debate is reaching a brick wall, at this stage with Europe there is still the major part of negotiation to be entered. I’d rather in some airy fairy glowing goodly fantasy world filled with fairies and glow-worms and kindly elves be a separate country … BUT … EU membership brings advantages ie trade, employment. You can wave goodbye to any significant UK motor manufacturing, to financial services, to God knows what else. We’ve become Romania in one fell swoop ie marginal, struggling, trying hard to sell anything we make.

Surely as in both cases we need as little turbulence as is possible in the last day or two before crucial votes, already all the arguments have been ‘done to death’ and now individuals need to search their consciences and think hard (I hope) on the right way forward. A Geoffrey Cox we do not need.

Aha … not in this case. As in the Comey bombshell we have some utterly unwanted unforseen misjudged interjection that does nothing but muddy and de-rail cogent thought.

I think a 4% swing did not justify Brexit in the first place and most certainly the likes of Nigel Farage (even though his easy arguments were so convincing) needs to be signalled his presence has caused nothing but harm, he needs to crawl away and make himself unseen permanently. Easy arguaments are ‘easy’ but we have to earn our way in this world, the likes of Nissan Sunderland seem unlikely to follow us into the margins beyond Europe. These are huge enterprises of manufacture and distribution, you cannot play with them as ‘toys’.

postscript … Corbyn looks particularly bad in all this, his months of obstructive silences and non-cooperation and then point-scoring eruptions to harp and criticise have not helped, adds nothing constructive, merely delays. This current problem is bigger than he realises and bringing back the old Labour disruptive practices is sorely out of date. Makes one wonder if he’d rather be in Russia. As bbc r4 interviewees this morning commented his performance last night at the big vote have been ‘pure politics’. I feel so sorry for Theresa May.

I also think the 4% swing is insufficient to have instigated this dreadful situation, we are cutting our own throats, I cannot see how overseas motor manufacturers would ever think of Britain again as an investment opportunity, unless of course our currency were to seriously devalue, which in fact it probably will. The UK public were given insufficient data to work on, I mean not endless soundites but greater depth and ‘what-ifs’. Its funny how people attach themselves to ‘a camp’ a viewpoint and fight tooth and nail to defend that position. Fluidity of thinking seems not to be readily available. Maybe its how we are presented our news, how people / viewers attach themselves to particular news outlets or tv channels. We are not as clever as we think we are.

Asking as we did the UK public to make such a vote was incredibly naive by the politicians, we didn’t really know what we were voting for which i think renders the Brexit decision fundamentally (with hindsight) INVALID.

Another instance how ‘the world out there’ is increasingly distorted, the break-away seven from the Labour Party are in my opinon to be applauded, to have had the nerve to dump an unusable system called the Labour Party under Corbyn. Clever fella Corbyn, good on camera, loves his little loudspeaker van, always able to deride the party in power yet generally has no policy of his own, would be disastrous in power; one gets the feeling too much time spent watching, ruminating, but reacting (albeit often v slowly) … but no forward energy. Without T May as a punchbag its hard to know what he thinks.

We are in a strange place, the disastrous Brexit will destroy any UK car manufacturing and the supply chain, we were sold a simplified idea of the future. With what we know now Brexit would never happen, yet T May steam rollers on regardless. Those responsible for this simplified over-sell have a great deal to answer for. Perhaps the over-simplified ‘sell’ was an indication of their own limited abilities?

How we think, reach a viewpoint is quite odd nowadays, information is not necessarilly enlightenment. trump rides on this, tv show experience he knows fine well is all he need know.

Theres a common thread in all this, Brexit and trump … its the destruction of present evolved systems and trading partnerships. I shudder as perishable goods / agriculture will fare in the present situation. With trump I’d say he’s knocking down the little men, the smaller producers to allow his bigtime new friends to hoover up any opportunity at knock down prices.

We read that trump is … SO… SO… determined to keep his campaign pledge that the ‘wall’ wld get built. But why bust a gut and cause such problems when already theres plenty of wall and barrier – FACT – theres masses of bloody wall already.

Its also FACT that whatever trump says then in fact the reality is the inverse / the opposite. His silence on El Chapo is deafening.

If trump is so keen on campaign pledges then why doesn’t he attend to ….

With warming oceans you can forget abt the marine food chain, lower strata and indispensable diatoms, algae, plankton hardly get mentioned yet are crucial.
