He uses his words strangely, apparently delighting in all the turmoil and anxiety he is creating as if a most obnoxious teenager. He is feeding on it.

Outright Fascism and with hindsight promoted from an early stage of trumps tenure. Huckabee up at that podium will be an enduring image of this nasty regime.

As usual with trump the insults he hurls at others are actually most applicable to himself … lock her (himself) up, fake, false, crooked, the swamp etc. trump doesn’t care what he says as long as he can spout a ten second sound-bite and whip up the trouble-hungry and peeved faction he depends on as a voter base, he is riding them. What it is to live at an ordinary ‘regular’ level, to get along with ones neighbours and community and society, to develop and contribute, to serve, all are sorely absent from the trump mindset and the nasty society he would wish to encourage.

I fear how this will progress unchecked, this week we hear trump wants to end nuclear treaties, cosy with Putin in the White House, feels no horror at a crazy letter bomber, targets refugees, cuts Central American aid, trashes the Free Press, basks in his stage managed rallies.

Apparently of CNN trump would like to portray as his arch-enemy and has spouted lots of hot air to the effect, lots of bile to whip up his rallies, but in reality as usual it is a most patient and carefully handled report. CNN cannot get any fairer than this. Notice how trump rides on the economic improvements from the Obama years. I hate to be critical, but cannot help but think more effort is needed, more insight, more depth in developing what is expected of her in this position, in other words it would be better to make more of an effort ie provide greater energy to her role.

postscript … I still feel sorry for her as I did nearly two years ago when I heard that disastrous Inaugration Speech. Perhaps on reflection Melania is in fact doing the best she can (no pun intended) as after all look who she is married to, it must not be easy having to be constantly mindful not to put a foot wrong. My wife grew up in a very difficult household, luckily moving to her grandmother as refuge; it was a mad household, drunkenness, violence, poverty and four small children shaking with fear, having to blank off the horribleness. That is because their abilities, level of performance etc are something trump despises. Its also because only they can keep tabs on him and get a real view as to how entangled he is with Russia and Russian money.

He’s trying so hard to appear the big man, to have the angle. His favourite press chat lately being to the whirr of the helicopter waiting to whisk him away to his golf course, to hold Court on his terms for the weekend. I couldn’t care less about him but he certainly should not be a President. He’s a Presider, nothing else. Being a President matters not one jot to him, playing the idiot pantomime character whilst everyone else is scurrying around doing their own thing and the villains gaining advantage every minute. Look back to other Fascists, they work the sore of the disaffected to ride along on them as a platform, they project a sense of injury imaginarily perpetrated by minorities so that others can hitch a ride in ‘denigrating’ and feeling superior. They abuse free speech, they have madcap schemes and see sleight and offence where none exists. This is as if adverbatim from the trump playbook. Fascists destroy the economy of their nation, people become much poorer, the so-called ‘wealthy elite’ become so much richer, yet ordinary people are restricted and confined and fascists create endless upset and friction and eventually war with anyone and any country that ‘is not their friend’. Fascists cannot see reality in anything like a clear light and do not have the enlightenment that a real education provides. Fascists have media that promotes their cause without criticism; reality, decency and truth being abandoned. Voila! … its trump.

I remember reading a couple of biographies of playwright Arthur Miller and him telling us how when younger his stomach turned to hear home after home spewing the filth from Father Coglan, inciting hatred as he walked along the street.

Maybe when he said he was the King of Debt perhaps that was his one true statement. I cried when I heard his Inauguration Speech as if written by a gaming obsessed nihilistic inadequate thats seldom ventured from his room; yes probably as it fits Bannon. We see pics of Bannon but when he speaks he too falls down flat, like much of the fascist detritus that hangs around trump. Bannons one true remark – “Trump is a streetfighter”.

I think trump is more stage managed and rehearsed than we realise, after all the backdrop ie fake supporters to his rallies are hand selected for the camera. Look at them, they are not engaged they couldn’t care less. Something that is so phoney and so make believe would never jarr with trump, he’d ride with anything that promotes him. I also think trump feeds off a constant flow of twisted croneyism, he cannot take this deliberate downward path without being coached and mentored, its all a voice of twisted old white men; of on-the-make prototypical fascists. Hence his rising early, tweets, phone calls to like-minded all before coming down at 11 to play a little in the Oval Office.

The poor, the ordinary and the anxious do not matter to trump, he is blind to them.

So wet, so insipid following from the tougher IPCC Report to hear the invited ‘expert’ girlie person tell us we need to insulate our homes (we mostly are already) look into solar panels but mind the cost and use the bus if we can. My dear girl, and I wish to be derogatory, the necessary moves we need to make are so much harsher and unpalatable to our affluent consumer and car mobilised society … ie a BIG reduction in red meat (forget about burgers America and everyone else) … walk or cycle to work, wash clothes less or quicker and air dry if poss, forget the SUV, cut needless roadside lighting, forget about personal consumer air travel, wrap up more and stop bitcoin mining. Think like … great grandparents. Think ‘paper bag’ and lessen off from ultra convenience.

Maybe we should all have pedal cars, gets ya fit, but of course there would always be the swanky git with extra chrome and a personalised reg …. on his pedal car. We would have to have two and three car families, we could only get one person in!

trumps base is far smaller than he says it is, I’m even sceptical of polls. Here in the UK the bbc r4 news woefully under-reports the extent of trumps deadly tenure, proving to be a treasure trove of bias for future students of journalism to analyse. Why is this?

Its a multi-pronged attack from trump and his sleazy behind doors whisperers, EPA stripped and gagged, needless tax giveaways to the already super wealthy, International Trade (and trust and co-operation) in tatters, his siding with Dictators, mayhem in Iran the Middle East, siding with Israel, denigration of the Palestinians, back to coal, back to fracking, his hurt of women of people of colour … etc etc etc. All are distasteful, regressive, damaging. Old white bigots rule the earth ???

The madness of king trump will surely be revealed as the future unfolds, everything for the ordinary citizen cut, closed or curtailed, their rights or position diminished, environmental and working conditions and housing localities degraded, people becoming tribal in their fixedness of viewpoint, polarisation of class; meanwhile Fox telling everyone repeatedly and endlessly how well the ‘Great Helmsman’ is doing. The double-whammy of Climate Change and altering weather patterns (jet stream etc) coupled with trumps destruction of overseas markets for American farmers will be a sorry sight. There will be a competitiveness and fear of fellow workers, of neighbours, just like Roy Cohn would have wanted. I hope in that there will be a backlash to this dark scenario, I have faith in common sense but meanwhile trump has breathing space, a bubble to operate in.

Realise too that in this topsy turvy world of trump he fully realises the realities of Climate Change, this is why he is so adamant for a needlessly heightened and strengthened Border Wall with Mexico when already theres sufficient wall for all practical purposes.

This explains why trump was so antagonistic toward the Press, he knew only they could bring him down or at least connect a whole lot of dots (ie off the record contributions and nods to investigative direction) that would allow the Judiciary sufficient momentum to forge ahead with certainty and speed. Perhaps this will allow individuals and the world to get on with its business; theres work to be done, climate change etc.

Everything now falls into place, as the NYT reveals, even as literally ‘a baby’ he is being rewarded renumeration from his dads companies and therefore throughout his life has established a web of interconnected businesses that feed and profit and/or loss from one another as minimisation of tax requirements determine, invoices shuffling around to squeeze to the absolute minimum any tax liability, thats where his skills lie; therefore he never really needed to be hands on in the sense of developing a deeper technical skill or knowledge. In a way bizarrely I did have a twinge of sympathy for his dad in that a lifetime of activity results in the mere dispersal of his empire to siblings, yet all along what is it but nothing other than assets and a means of making money; assets that need to be wound up on death and are one form or another a quantity of dollars numerical. And it appears to be a lifetime of hoodwinking and evasion yes, most certainly a dynamic accumulative business, but at the same looking to evade taxes on profit and transfer of assets to children. Quite ironic, I’ve neighbours that twenty months ago as two little bright bunnies were pleased to announce to me that “We think trump is good for America” being Fox devotees and now the man himself he too thinks he can avoid taxes … ehm, sorry, nope, death and taxes etc as the old saying goes. Why doesn’t one of the assembled hangers-on behind him just go up to him and state plainly this is NOT acceptable attitude or behaviour, EVERYONE is embarrased. Whilst trump in his evil intent, in his churn creates a smokescreen, he obscures the massive damage and the dismantling that chunters on regardless; previous good work, research, knowledge, experience quickly unravelling, all these terms of course being anathema to the Fool in the White House. With Climate Change we need more scientists, not less. Putin is very clever, he’s doing more than bombs and armies ever could.

trump realises in this soundbite world any of his rambling near incoherent vacuous performances known as a speech will be filtered and presented as the best one-liner, his slurring, his inability to read an auto-cue, his pathetic delivery, all are put aside as the self re-inforcing ‘I’ve got it nailed’ soundbite echoes round the world. He is a mockery, all nations just hope he can be contained and doesn’t do ‘anything too bad’. Sounds much like a wayward and handicapped teenager. I intend no insult to mentally handicapped people. He is wasting valuable time and is mocking the adults in the room, mocking the world.

Who is it that sits there at night with their cans gawking at the screen “Go for it Don”, how sad their lives must be, to be bypassed. This demonstrates the greater effort needed at education and that as I’ve said many times rhetoric is a subject sadly missed. As a civilisation we are going backwards, vast pools of semi-literate are hooked on their drip feed of i-phone, they’ll never assimilate or remember a fraction of what pre-digital youngsters were expected to. We can assume the contraption known as trump ‘delivers the goods’ behind closed doors, does the hard hitting cut to the quick clever talk and gives his close at hand supporters what they like to hear, which I can guarantee is not …. goodwill, compassion, making better, caring or assisting. So the deal is done trump can then step outside to the Press or his rally and like a wind up toy deliver his usual junk. So I can assume the performance given on camera is not the full truth, not the whole man. This figures perfectly, anecdotal evidence of his use of language on his second rate reality tv activities backs this up.

How slimey, how callous and hurtful and all the smug white fools behind him, no better than a group of drunken teenagers from decades past. This is pertinent, trumps angle on the Kavanaugh performance thirty years ago to his mind is that his misdemeanour is irrelevant, not once will it ever occur to him WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG ….
